Tarpon Springs is really just a nice day trip from Orlando, but we decided to spend the night to go fishing. The hotel is less than 5 minutes from town on a busy highway. The doors to the rooms are outside and face the highway, but once inside the room, we could not hear the traffic. Every room has a great view and a balcony. The room was very clean and all of the mattresses in the hotel were new, so that was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and concerned about our satisfaction. This place will never be mistaken for a Hilton, but it was a pleasant stay and well priced. I would definitely go there again!

Negatives: Bathroom needed some upgrading but was clean.

Would not say it's a 3 star hotel. I had to call the front desk twice to make a request and answer a few questions and both times the woman who answered was extremely rude and unprofessional. If you're just looking for a decently comfortable place for a night I would recommend it, but don't expect good hospitality.

My daughter & I had to stay in Tarpon Springs a few days for Eye surgery. This hotel made my stay very nice. Room service was fast & friendly. Room was perfect, very upscale for the area. We loved our stay! I Will stay there again for my next surgery. Thanks to all the staff.

Negatives: Someone at front desk was rude & unhelpful over phone.

We were about the only ones staying at the hotel, but they gave us the worst room they possibly had (at the back of the building & facing the parking lot). They also gave us two double beds (how romantic for a couple traveling without children. We had to go back to the front desk after checking in and beg for a room with a queen or king. Since the hotel was basically empty (no more than ten cars in the lot per night for the whole week we stayed there, we thought we deserved a better room.

Positives: Pool area had updated outdoor furniture and was nice (but noisy--traffic noise).

Negatives: When you walked in the door--smell of grease & food odors, the kitchen & dining area was right inside the door.

A slightly tired, but well-maintained property with friendly staff and reasonable location in the Tampa suburbs. Better for vacationing than business.

The hotel pool turned my daughters hair green! I complained at the front desk but they did nothing except send maintenance to check pool chemicals. They were supposed to call me back to let me know if the chemicals were too high but never did. I called hotel again and left message with general manager about problem and he never called me back either.

Positives: Large pool, attractive lobby.

Negatives: Double beds, prefer queen. Pool turned hair green!

It was a spur of the moment outing for the family. Affordable, pleasant, reasonable prices, and a nice time.

Very nice pool area and grounds. We were able to get to Tampa and St Ptete with little problems or congestion. Hotel staff was very helpful in visitor info. Hotel was very clean and rooms were large.

Standard roadside Holiday Inn with on-site restaurant (which did not have a single customer either day we stayed there -- for either breakfast or dinner). Not within walking distance to attractions in Tarpon Springs -- neither the sponge docks nor Lake Tarpon. Room was clean and comfortable.

Positives: Coupon for free drink at Happy Hour in the hotel lounge.

Negatives: Located on busy highway, not within walking distance to attractions.

The staff makes every attempt to make your stay great. They have a cocktail hour and you get to have free drinks and snacks and meet other people. We had such a great stay. Thank you!

We received a room that did not have working phones. Our room was switched immediately with no problem. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The only problem was the carpet was smelly because it was new. The staff and maintenance were friendly and very accommodating. The pool and Jacuzzi was nice. A great place to stay.

Positives: The hotel seemed new.

Negatives: The carpet had a funny smell because it was new.

If you are looking for a low budget motel, this is the place for you. Bring your own sheets or extra blankets to cover the sheets.

At first we were disappointed that we went in a Holiday Inn for our honeymoon hotel. Once we got there everything changed. This is unlike any other holiday in I have stayed at. It has a tropical feel and the back area by the pool makes you forget you are in Florida. I recommend this to anyone; families, couples and business travelers. The staff is great and the bend over backwards to make sure you have a great time!

Positives: Outdoor spaces are great, staff is excellent and experience was awesome.

Negatives: Hotel restaurant could use a little variety in the menu.

Excellent value for the cost. Staff was exceedingly welcoming and helpful. Nice happy hour. Pool restful, not crowded. Easy access to Tarpon Springs wonderful Greek Town shops and restaurants.

Over all the hotel was great and the one thing I saw that may help this facility is to steam clean the carpet especially where the clerk's offices are located.

Positives: Great landscaping, flowers, palm trees and ambience.

Negatives: The room the clerk gave us not giving us a choice of the layout.

This hotel seemed very empty and the staff was reserved. I did not feel especially welcomed. The facilities needed to be better taken care of. The room was beautiful except for the fact that the bed had a comforter that you find in cheap motels. I liked that it was right off the US 19 so we had access to many restaurants and other recreational places. The dining experience was great and had many different options. We got free cocktails every happy hour. The fitness room which was not much was open 24 hours. Overall, we had a great experience.

Positives: I liked the dining experience and the room came with an outside patio, a pool view, a microwave, and a mini-refrigerator which we did not expect.

Negatives: I did not like the exercising facility and the pool was filled with little bugs.

The room smelled musty, there was no way to close the drape, there was sheers but could not close drapes. I found it less then desirable and absolutely not a 3 star facility.

Very centrally located, nice staff. Breakfast was a little pricey $30 for two is a lot. The carpet in hall way was dirty and the sheets on bed was not white. The pillows were small and did smell fresh. The comforter had cigarette burns on it. This was not a 3 star hotel.

Positives: Very central located right off Hwy 19. Nice lobby.

Negatives: Did not have very clean sheets, cigarette burns on comforter. No candy or gum snack bar. Needed Tums.
