Great hotel. Great pool and staff, and a good deal can be had on Priceline. It is the best place I have stayed at in Orlando.

Positives: Great pool, restaurants, and staff.

Negatives: Bathroom wasn't very thrilling, and there is an added resort fee.

Hotel rents out area handicapped have to use to access pool. Someone had taken elevator out of service to restrict handicapped from going through what they had rented out. I was already at pool and trying to go back to room an lay down. Also they didn't have transportation set up to accommodate handicapped. First day I was trying to find handicap access to center island there wasn't any. Was so upset I failed to turn. My chair off and jammed my toe tore my shirt big bride on ribs an had to wait for someone to pick me up off pavement. Whole thing was a disaster. Will never stay there again.
Positives: Not set up to accommodate handicap transfers. It was very upsetting.

Negatives: Extra fees, no handicap transfer without struggle. Handicap unfriendly pool access.

Overall beautiful and lots of things to do. Both my kids and I loved it.

Positives: Greeted with champagne, staff at front desk were charming and so friendly.

Negatives: Price for breakfast buffet is way too expensive.

My husband, 3 year old daughter and I stayed at the Hyatt Grand Cypress resort over the Labor day weekend. Everything about the hotel is beautiful and relaxing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable- bed was soft and restful. Only thing I didn't care for in the room was the door to the bathroom slides across and is also the door to the closet. With a small child you need to be careful you don't close the door on their little fingers. Balcony was also a concern- we were located on the 8th floor luckily there is a pin that can be inserted to make sure your child cannot open the balcony. A plus was the room has a small refrigerator in order to keep water and milk on hand. The pool and the surrounding area are beautifully landscaped and there is a series of waterfalls not to mention a hidden bar and eating area underneath the caves with waterfalls. There's different area in the pools for different travelers preferences. During our stay we visited the Walt Disney Magic Kingdom which was very close is proximity to the hotel. Overall our stay was excellent and would definitely stay here again. I've already been recommending this hotel to all my friends and family.

Positives: Relaxing atmosphere, friendly customer service and aesthetically pleasing surroundings.

Negatives: Resort Fee and Valet or Self-Parking Fee added in addition to your hotel rate and taxes.

Staff very insensitive to a family traveler on a budget. They charge to park at the resort and $24 dollars a day for resort fees.

Positives: Very nice and good location.

Negatives: They charge resort fees ahead of check out!

Gorgeous hotel! Beautiful accommodations. This is a great alternative to staying on Disney property. The pool is lovely!

Positives: The ambiance! Beautiful hotel, we live in Florida, but we felt like we were "away from it all".

Negatives: The front desk staff could have been more warm and welcoming.

I definitely recommend it, we spent very good time there and the views were amazing from our room.

Positives: The location.

Negatives: The beds wasn't comfortable enough.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 22 Aug 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

The hotel is very nice lots to do for the kids and family. You can spend the whole day at the hotel and enjoy yourself. Only suggestion is if they had more shuttle buses working between Disney and Universal Studios.

Positives: This hotel is clean and luxurious with everything close by. The staff was friendly and hotel well maintained. The safety of the hotel was excellent.

Negatives: The parking lot was far away. Not enough spaces and cost $ 11 night for parking.

Excellent hotel. Great location for Disney travelers and plenty for the family to do on the hotel grounds themselves (pool, lake, tennis, golf, rock climbing wall). Noteworthy that there is a "resort fee" (~$20) to use these amenities. This was a surprise to me and I am not a big fan of surprises (at least, not the kind that cause me unexpectedly to spend beyond my budget). Nonetheless, I would give high marks to this hotel. In the future, however,

Positives: Excellent room, beautiful pool & lake, close to Disney.

Negatives: Was surprised that there was a "resort fee" of ~$20 / day.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 30 Jul 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

This was a very nice place to stay. Really didn't like getting hit with the resort fee. I really don't think that it is fair.

Positives: The paddle boats on the lake and the water slide at the pool.

Negatives: Not able to get a smoking room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 28 Jul 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

Wish all charges were presented correctly at time of check-in. Was given 2 different explanations of extra charges.

Positives: It was amazing.

Negatives: At check-in told $12.00 parking fee, not told that there would be a $75.00 hold on bank card.Checkout had bill $24 & change for hotel fee & taxes.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 16 Jul 2011 rated 6 out of 10.

Hotel is nice. As a business traveler did not use any of the overpriced resort activities. Really upset about $24 per day resort fee. Will not use this hotel again

Positives: It was clean.

Negatives: $24 a day resort fee.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is a beautiful property with and impeccable staff. It has an excellent pool and a variety of activities for all travelers. Restaurants are professional and serve delicious food. The concierge is friendly and very helpful with everything in the area. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone in the area that is looking to stay close to the theme parks but get away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist traps.

Positives: As someone in the hospitality industry, I found the service to be flawless.

Negatives: Their award winning brunch is only seasonal and not available during peak season.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 15 Jul 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

Beautiful outside and inside. The grounds reminded me of Hawaii. Very lucky to get this on Priceline.

Positives: Great mattresses and a wonderful bathroom!!

Negatives: We liked everything.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 11 Jul 2011 rated 3 out of 10.

Good hotel, but the resort fee, the parking, and the $25 per night parking fee makes this a total rip off. Between this hotel and Priceline I was completely mislead and I feel like $47 per night was stolen from me. I will make sure the whole world finds out about this by posting reviews and articles on every website I can find. I will warn people not to use Priceline and don't stay at Hyatt hotels.

Positives: Good bathroom and shower.

Negatives: The price of the hotel was fraudulently represented. The resort fee was extra and I was not told.

I wanted a hotel with in walking distance of Downtown Disney and with free transportation to the parks. I called the hotel before booking the room, to ask these questions and they told me they where right across the street from downtown Disney (not true they where over two miles away, I guess when looking on a map it's looks like they are across the street but you would have to walk through a swamp to get there). Also only two scuttle times where available to get to the parks in the morning. I have a young child and we where not planning to spend the entire day at the park, therefore we could not use the shuttle and had to pay $15 a day for parking.

Positives: I liked the room service, its was very accomodating.

Negatives: I did not like the location, the lack of smaller children (under 3) activities and the extra fees for everything.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 09 Jul 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

The hotel is beautiful, the room was very clean, a little small, but still comfortable. The pool is amazing and beautiful great slides for kids and adults. Nice restaurants for any occasion.

Positives: The staff was wonderful, very helpful. The pool was amazing, everything was very clean.

Negatives: The alcoholic drinks were a little expensive.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 27 Jun 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

The hotel had an extra $23 that every person had to pay which was not included in their room costs. If the room is booked at good price, then it should include the use of their facilities and not be charged a hidden extra $23 per night.

Positives: Great pool.

Negatives: They had a mandatory extra $23 that had to paid to use their facilities.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 24 Jun 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

I stayed for 5 days and would have stayed longer if not for the flight back home. This hotel is great! Based on the reviews before, I did expect the resort charge,
I was charged $22 for the resort fee and based on the facilities provided, it was a fairly good deal.

Positives: Excellent service, room, facilities and location.

Negatives: Slow wireless connectivity.

The Hyatt is a very large hotel with many things to do and beautifully decorated. The restaurants serve delicious food, and the service is as wonderful as the hotel. Not having enough hot water in the beautiful shower after the 1st shower is taken is not a good thing. Have had to deal with the air conditioner not working in 98 degree weather in Houston, refrigerators not being at all cool in San Antonio, etc. I think I will request another room from now on after they have given me the key to the room that is assigned.

Positives: Extremely clean, extremely polite staff, extremely comfortable bed, beautifully decorated, and quiet.

Negatives: Both rooms were without hot water after 1 person took a shower. Not very pleasant to shower in.

Exceptional grounds and wonderful service at check in. Christmas decorations were beautiful.

Positives: Beautiful grounds and excellent customer service. We liked that the pool was open very late.

Negatives: Not a negative - we should have stayed longer to enjoy the other amenities at this resort.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 22 Nov 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Don't miss it!

Positives: Elegant, great service, great pool area, stylish, and great hotel!

Negatives: A bit hard to find.

Accommodations were excellent. The hotel room we stayed in looked brand new. It had a small refrigerator , a large flat screen TV, high end linens, and very comfortable beds. The look was sleek soft contemporary but very comfortable and relaxing. There were conventions there but the room was very quiet. We have stayed at other high end resorts in the area and this one has so much more to offer. Multiple pools (designated quiet areas around some pools), a pitch and putt, bicycles for exploring the grounds, game rooms, great workout area, ping pong tables, etc all included (free with your stay). There are so many things to do we could not even fit them in. The location to Disney World is 1 exit away (about 5-7 min to the different parks). We drove all but one day and got there faster than taking the Disney buses around. The only drawback at the hotel was that there are only two times a day it provides drop off and pickup services from the hotel to Disney transportation and back so plan on catching a cab home if you want to get back before 9:30 pm.

Positives: All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Negatives: Food was overpriced for the quality delivered. Sushi not fresh.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 02 Nov 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

The hotel was beautiful. Our room was quite large and we had a wonderful view of the parks. The pool was very nice and we liked that they had a "quiet" section. We would love to stay at this resort again.

Positives: The hotel was absolutely beautiful with many activities. The staff was very friendly.

Negatives: The self parking was quite a distance away from the hotel and there was not transportation

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 25 Sep 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Positives: Room, and location.

Negatives: Wine list wasn't great and too expensive.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 20 Aug 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

This hotel is always a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The pool is fun except the pool bar closes too early. There are plenty of activities for the kids and having a quiet side of the pool was delightful.
Positives: Everything was spectacular, including champagne upon arrival.

Negatives: No complimentary coffee downstairs in the morning!

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 16 Aug 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Overall, very nice. The family loved the hotel, room, pool, view, and the birds in the lobby.

Positives: The security to get on the property - safe.

Negatives: Parking was remote, and the property was very big.

This hotel exceeded our expectations.

Positives: Location and rooms.

Negatives: Nothing.

This is a lovely resort hotel. The room was very modern and sleek, the lobby is amazing, and the pool(s) were very fun. If you had the time, there are many activities offered. Staff was very friendly. The food at the White Horse Cafe was excellent.

Positives: The pool facilities were amazing and the general space was beautiful.

Negatives: As a big draw is the pool, there could have been a better place to hang wet suits in the room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 21 Jun 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

The rooms were clean. The beds comfortable. The swimming pool and the grounds surrounding the hotel were very clean. Tons of activities without leaving the hotel. The staff provided excellent customer service. I would recommend this hotel for both couple and family getaways.

Positives: The staff was very friendly. The activities at the resort were great for the kids.

Negatives: Internet was not included. There was a daily fee.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 15 Jun 2010 rated 1 out of 10.

Beautiful hotel. Great location, near Disney. Incompetent staff. Charged me twice each day for the resort fee, and then put a letter under my door saying I had not paid. Then charged me for wired Internet, which was part of the resort fee.

Positives: Beautiful scenery.

Negatives: Completely incompetent staff.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 14 Jun 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Sparkling clean, superb staff, great pools, and recreation opportunities.

Positives: Clean rooms and great recreation.

Negatives: Nothing

Newly renovated throughout, a great place to stay for both business & family stays. Pool and leisure activities included in 20$ resort fee which was extra charge, but still good value. Breakfast buffet was a little pricey at 20$, but lunch at snack restaurant was excellent and good value. Self parking was very close to the hotel compared to others I have stayed at.

Positives: Great rooms, great facilities, great location.

Negatives: Traffic in area can get busy.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 06 Jun 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

This was an awesome resort, we will come back again and again. A wonderful place to bring the kids, the breakfast was amazing and the pool area was dynamite! The best place that we have stayed in Orlando, and we travel down at least 3 times a year. We will stay at the Hyatt on our next visit.

Positives: The pool area was amazing! The kids loved the water slides, and we enjoyed lounging by the pool.

Negatives: We liked everything about this hotel!

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 04 Jun 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Hotel was awesome other than the hidden "resort fee" it was great. I only stayed one night but from what I saw I would definitely go there again.

Positives: Very relaxing after long day at Disney World.

Negatives: 40 bucks more for parking and resort fee, right off the bat.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 25 Apr 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Overall it was a good experience. Wanted to extend stay another night and wouldn't honor rate. Had to move to new hotel which ended up being even better.

Positives: The pool area.

Negatives: Self parking so far away.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 23 Apr 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Hyatt was cleaner, more spacious, bigger bathrooms were updated, even pull out sofa bed was comfy. We biked all around the resort, very nice, and we kayaked and used paddle boat, which was all included in room cost, so you didn't have to carry money around with you. If I return to Orlando, this is the hotel I would book for entire stay.

Positives: Loved spacious rooms and bath, nice pools, all non-motorized watercraft included no extra fees.

Negatives: If you self parked it was far but you saved money.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 15 Apr 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

If the hotel would have had a better parking lot layout and the parking lot would have been closer to the rooms and more buses to and from the resorts, it would been perfect. We really liked the facilities and the staff was really nice.

Positives: The staff was nice and the overall hotel was good.

Negatives: The parking lot was long walk from the room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 13 Apr 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Its a beautiful place and I loved the installations of the place. It had a good location near from many restaurants and downtown Disney.

Positives: The hotel was really nice and very good service and attentions by the employees.

Negatives: They don't have many shuttles to Disney World, Universal and Sea World.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 05 Apr 2010 rated 6 out of 10.

Great location and resort activities. A bit dated and the new, modern decor is not my choice. Reminded me of Disney's Contemporary resort. Overall, a clean, convenient place to stay near Disney but not luxurious.

Positives: Good location, fun pool and activities for kids.

Negatives: Modern decor is tacky.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 04 Apr 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Had an excellent stay. Staff was super, courteous and extremely efficient. Even though it was spring break, the busiest time of year, there were no waits for services. The grounds were kept immaculate, the rooms were beautiful and I had absolutely no complaints.

Positives: Pool, gardens, activities - all top-notch.

Negatives: There was nothing I didn't like.
