Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas

The villa was roomy and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. I did receive incorrect directions to Cirque du Soleil which could potentially have been very costly - their tickets are not cheap and there is no refund if you miss the show. Luckily I was smart enough to take a test drive that afternoon before the 9 pm show and realized their error after driving around for almost an hour, looking.

Positives: Large villa rooms, well appointed, comfortable.

Negatives: Found two cockroaches in apartment. Received incorrect directions to Cirque du Soleil.

My recent stay at Sheraton Vistana Villages seems to prove that many a paradise has its evil serpent. In this case the accommodations were very nice. Although we mainly used it for sleep at night since we were busy at Orlando's many attractions. The evil serpent is the staff. From the front desk staff to the telephone operator to the security guard. I have rarely found such discourteous and poor customer service. From our arrival My nephew who owns a time share booked a week as a gift for my mothers 70th birthday. We arrive having just flown in to be told our reservation was canceled and that my last name was spelt wrong. The front desk staff just stared at us as if we had two heads and said that they couldn't do anything about it. We had to wait for my nephew to rebook while we waited anxiously to see if we had some where to stay the night. We avoided the staff after that. Since this was a time share we were invited to breakfast and I was considering also buying a unit. I booked for 10 am Sunday, but was told I could come earlier. I decided to go early since we wanted to get to Sea World early since rain was predicted for the evening. I was told they didn't have a sales representative for me. I agreed to book later in the week. I booked for 10 am Wednesday since I had to pack since it was my last day and check-out time was 10 am. They had me booked for 8 am. I re booked for 10. I did call the front desk to ask for later check-out time. I was told that they could not do that. The maid came at 9:30. We told her to come back. My mother was leaving earlier so she had started putting her luggage in the car. I also started to put my luggage in the car. At 10:05 when we tried to use the key card to finish getting our stuff out of the unit the key card had ceased to work. We called the front desk and she sent security who proceeded to interrogate me and was refusing to let me back into the apartment until after I insisted he call the front desk who had sent him to help me in the first place. I could not wait to get away from this hotel.

Positives: Hotel is clean.

Negatives: Very unfriendly staff.

Fantastic resort, spotlessly clean. Only problem was the building/renovation work which is going on at the motel - lots of trucks and obviously some noise. Also beware of making any phone calls from the apartments without using a call card - charges are absolutely prohibitive as I found out to my cost! Would definitely return though, our apartment was first class, had been newly renovated to the highest standard and no fault could be found with it.

Positives: Standard of accommodation and lovely resort.

Negatives: Phone charges.

This room was more expensive than last year. We got the Jacuzzi. The pool main pool was very nice. We missed the General store on the Resort.

Positives: We liked the facilities of the apartment (washer, dryer and dishwasher etc,) the main pool.

Negatives: Only wireless internet in the appertementroom. De internet facilities in the business center is too much commercial. The housekeeping stayed away.

I would recommend this resort for anyone. There is so much to do right there, even for kids. Well worth the price! Great place.

Positives: The room was spotless. I couldn't even find any dust.

Negatives: The bed wasn't all that comfortable.

This is a very nice resort; everyone was very polite and helpful. All attractions are close and easy to drive to.

Positives: You almost never have to leave; they have anything you want to do @ resort.

Negatives: It is a large resort and you can get easily lost, they should have painted unit different colors.

We made our reservation on-line after reading about the multiple pools, playgrounds and restaurants at the hotel (timeshare). We drive up from Miami, did Disney, and arrived at the Sheraton at 9:00 pm with a guaranteed late arrival confirmed. The acted as if they had no idea we were coming. We waited an hour for the room. Their explanation was: "you know, we are a timeshare". Our room was right up to the highway (loud). There was no parking close to the room. No elevators. The room was decorated in the late seventies. The Jacuzzi tub had hair in it and the stopper didn't work. The sheets were stained and we had to call twice to get new ones (midnight). The carpet was wet in several places. It appears that the "hotel" really does not want recurring business from their hotel guests. They are catering to their timeshare guests. We will never go back. There are several other places close by that looked better. Either that or we'll go back to staying "on-property" at Disney.

Positives: The room was large.

Negatives: The carpet was wet. There was hair in the Jacuzzi. The management didn't care about us.

Great place to relax and take nice long walks. Wonderful pools and convenient store is a life safer.

Positives: Location of our room and the various pools & general store.

Good location. Friendly service. Comfortable accommodations. Did not use the social areas very much.

Positives: Small apartment-like room with room service included.

Negatives: Took time off my vacation to try and sell me timeshares.
