The hotel was very clean and elegant and the rooms are very nice sized. The hotel restaurant is rather overpriced and the food in the brunch buffet was disappointing. The concierge was very helpful and friendly and the other hotel staff were superb. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Positives: Spacious room and excellent room service.

Negatives: We did not like that the hotel held money for incidentals for so long after our stay ended. I hadn't planned for my money being tied up.

The hotel is located in a very safe, nice upscale area. A few minutes north of the airport was easy to access. A lot of nice dining options in the area. The pool area was very nice with good seating for sunbathing. The room I had on the first floor had a sliding door that opened onto a nice private patio, that connected to the pool area. The patio areas outside these first floor rooms were landscaped so they provided privacy yet access to the pool. I did not eat in the restaurant, but did have a cocktail at the bar. The dining room and bar area are together, and were big and roomy with a Caribbean feel.

Positives: I had a room off the swimming pool. Had a door that exited to the pool area and had a nice private patio outside room.

Negatives: The lounge was basically a small bar inside the dining room.

Intercontinental West Miami hotel is a great place to stay if you want to be near the airport. Free shuttle with friendly driver. Hotel rooms are big and the bed is very comfortable. Everything was clean, nice and staff was very courteous.

Positives: Fancy, clean, beautiful, friendly and courteous staff, large rooms, and beds was extremely comfy.

Negatives: Everything was okay.

Out of the way for a hotel airport. Shuttle service was bed. Very disappointed for an Intercontinental hotel. Very disappointed.

The hotel is close to the airport which is convenient and close to outside fast food chains - if that is what you are looking for. They painted the hallway on the floor we were in and it smelled, I am sure they don't do that all of the time but I wish they would have contacted me to let me know prior to painting. The staff was the best part - superior customer service.

This hotel has one of the best hotel gyms I have ever been seen. The staff overall was friendly. The breakfast buffet is overpriced, but that is typical of most hotels. The bed was comfortable, but the room had a weird moldy smell. Overall it was a great price for where we were staying.

Really enjoyed our stay, we had a baby and an eight year old with us, the entire hotel is visually appealing, friendly staff, great pool area, comfortable beds. We had a king size in our room and slept better than at home. We would certainly use this hotel again on a future trip to Miami!

The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, but the location was just too far away. We spent almost $100 in one day just on taxi fares alone, commuting to downtown and south beach. It's also not close to the airport at all (about 20-25 minutes), but there was a free shuttle to the airport, so that was a relief.

Location, room, service all very acceptable at price level. Parking arrangements are very poor with shortage of self park spaces and long walk to front lobby which is only access to hotel. Internet, which should be free at this level, is very expensive.

Purpose of stay was layover between flights. Very satisfied. timing for shuttle from airport happened to work out fine (service is hourly so the wait could be long). Further from airport than expected but this did not present a problem. Several restaurants were walk able from restaurant. We went to Mac Grill which was a 5 minute walk. Overall, very good value.

Positives: Comfortable bed. Professional service.

Negatives: Air conditioner was not properly working.

Great Hotel! Love the rooms clean and new. The TV wasn't the greatest model but we were out must of the time. LOVE THE PLEASE! My whole family will love to go back!

Positives: Super Clean! Friendly people and very quiet!

Negatives: No ice machine, had to call for ice, but they came in 5 minutes!
