The staff at this hotel is very friendly & professional. The location is central to everything. My only complaint is the bathroom in the room is in desperate need of renovation & the carpets smell and are stained. The beds are very comfy though. I ate breakfast there, and was pleasantly surprised. It was very good for hotel food.
Positives: The staff was very professional, friendly, and welcoming. Comfy beds.
Negatives: The carpets smell and are stained, the bathrooms are run down, dated.

Very nice hotel. Staff was extremely friendly, which is a must for me. Everybody was helpful, including the concierge, bell staff, and valet parking. The front desk staff were outstanding for my stay. I'd stay again.
Positives: Great Downtown location!
Negatives: Parking.

I liked this hotel. It was classy and in a good location. It was difficult to figure out the parking and it was really disappointing to have to pay $19 a day and you cannot leave at all or you are charged again. The parking garage staff was not at all friendly and I talked to three separate people.
Positives: I like the downtown location since it was walking distance to places we wanted to go.
Negatives: The parking garage rules are ridiculous and it is way overpriced.

The hotel was OK. I've been in 3 stars that have been nicer than this. There was no fridge in the room. No mini bar. I expect these conveniences when I'm at a 4 star hotel. Also, the only parking available was either $30 a day valet or you could self-park in the parking garage. To park in the garage you had to pay $12+ every time you wanted to leave.
Positives: The lobby was pretty. The pool area was fairly nice.
Negatives: There was no refrigerator, nor microwave in the room. Parking was irritating.

Stay away from this one if you are imagining a 4-star hotel. It is rather of a 2 1/2 star quality. The bedroom and bathroom are in the same room, which means it gets smelly. The shower curtain is the cheapest they could get. The hair dryer was so old and dirty you do not even want to touch it. The sheets were smelly. Valet parking is slow in bringing your car back. Not a good quality for a well-known hotel.
Positives: Close to the business district.
Negatives: Awful room with the bed and bathroom not really separated, smelly shower curtains, dirty sheets.

Excellent value from Priceline for downtown Miami.
Positives: Excellent breakfast provided with room.
Negatives: The hotel bar is too noisy.

This is the worst 4 star hotel I've ever stayed in. It ruined the Hyatt brand. Really, it feels more like a 1 star motel, except the lobby.
Positives: None
Negatives: Room doesn't feel clean and comfortable at all.

Overall, a great experience. The staff was great, and the free monorail was great for getting around the city conveniently. The view from my 19th floor window was awesome over looking the Miami river. I would stay there again.
Positives: It was in a great location, the staff was very accommodating.
Negatives: They didn't provide shower caps and only 2 washcloths. No mini fridge in the room.

I stay in this hotel every year for Memorial Day Weekend and don't have any problems, but was going on a cruise and decided to stay here, but when I got to my room the room had an order and there was a pizza box and water bottle left in the room. Went downstairs and they did move me to another room.
Positives: Very nice, very secure can't get into elevator unless you have a card.
Negatives: The room smelled.

Expected more. The hotel was fairly large and in a walking distance of public transportation, but I was so disgusted at the uncleanliness of my room.
Positives: The front desk clerk who checked me in was extremely polite.
Negatives: Room was dirty and sheets were stained. I felt disgusted. I expected more.

Excellent downtown location with well-appointed rooms. Great deal for the price!
Positives: Excellent location; friendly staff; early check-in; well appointed rooms.
Negatives: Room showed a little wear and tear; noisy party on floor but security stopped it.

I was expecting way more from a Hyatt. The room distribuition was terrible, no space to freely walk; it feels crowded. Noise 24x7 from whistles of the valet parking personnel, so it was hard to sleep. Our view was the roof of an ugly building besides us. The washroom has not exhaust and the shower was one of the ugliest I have ever seen. We moved to the Hilton Garden Inn Airport (3.5*) and it does meet and exceeds its rating.
Positives: Nothing
Negatives: The room..
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 04 Apr 2011 rated 6 out of 10.
This is not a 4 star hotel. The view is awful. No mini bar. The pool is not very nice. Does not compare to the other 4 star hotels in Miami. The viceroy and Conrad are luxury resorts compared to the Hyatt !
Positives: The staff was friendly.
Negatives: Not a 4 star hotel. Doesn't even come close to the quality of the Conrad or Viceroy.

This was a nice hotel. The staff was super-friendly and it was perfect because we were going on a cruise. The location was ideal for doing things in Miami. We walked to Biscayne Park and they were having festivities.
Positives: The service was excellent. We were upgraded to suite and it was excellent.
Negatives: The decor looked a little old in the hallways. The bathroom was small.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future. The proximity to the port was advantageous and it was a nice and clean hotel.
Positives: Very friendly staff and clean.
Negatives: Not really a 3.5---more like a 3.

This hotel is clean. However, we noted thin walls resulting in an unsatisfactory noise level.

The front desk staff were helpful, as was the concierge. The room was spacious and well appointed -- and we loved the iPod alarm clock.
Positives: Friendly staff, above average hotel restaurant.
Negatives: Pricey valet parking, no self park option with "In & out" privileges.

Excellent location to all of the downtown attractions. Modern hotel. Polite and helpful staff with easy check-in and check-out procedures.
Positives: The room decor.
Negatives: We requested a king bed and they were not able to accommodate the request but we understood.

Nice location except for limited parking and no in and out privileges. Parking lot made me feel confined because it got very expensive to come and go as you please. I wish they could have had a one day pass.
Positives: On the water.
Negatives: Old building, parking lot did not appear safe.

Having worked in 5 star hotels for part of my life I expected better from a 4 star property. I could have had a cleaner room and less noise from a court yard Marriott. Had stayed in Hyatt's before and this was quite a surprise. Was not totally disappointed but then I only stayed one night. Had I booked more I would have walked.
Positives: Fast Check -in/out. Courteous staff.
Negatives: Room smelled musty as did hallways. Parking lot is a small walk into a questionable lot. Valet is not worth the astronomical price.

The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly. Our concierge was helpful in offering forms of transportation to South Beach that didn't include a cab (the hotel is 15 minutes away, so going back and forth in a cab became costly after a while). The rooms are clean, the main lobby is very pretty, and the pool space is very picturesque.
Positives: Clean hotel, great gym, beautiful surroundings.
Negatives: Downtown doesn't offer much in terms of dining, nightlife.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 23 Aug 2010 rated 6 out of 10.
Hotel lobby smelled funny. No free breakfast. Pool was in a bad location. Room was nice enough if your only looking for somewhere to sleep. Bed was comfortable. Lots of other hotels in the same area for around the same price if your looking for all the extras.
Positives: Room was nice enough if thats all your looking for.
Negatives: Outdated decor, smelled funny, not a very good location, poor breakfast.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 22 Aug 2010 rated 7 out of 10.
The bathroom area was wierd. It would have been better if the sink and toilet and shower were all enclosed within the wall as a standard bathroom.
Positives: I liked the location.
Negatives: I didn't like the bathroom and sink set up in the room.

Friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Very comfy bed, but overall dated and needs modernization and a better pool/pool facilities. Valet parking is very expensive.
Positives: Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Also very comfy bed.
Negatives: Pull out sofa bed is very uncomfortable. The pool is small and outdoors.

Do not stay in this hotel, bad room service, they do not make the rooms, the valet parking will not help you with luggage, they do not have room service after 12 midnight, no mini bar, in the rooms you can heard everything that happens in the hallways.
Positives: The night manager was the best.
Negatives: Room service was bad.

The front desk staff were very good, but the concierge was ho-hum. They didn't give any information about the area or what was available for family or business travelers. I wanted to know where a nearby grocery/convenience store was to buy razors, where were some decent restaurants within walking distance; all they wanted to do was sell me expensive boat tours. They didn't even know there was a very nice outdoor mall just up the road.
Positives: The front desk staff were very professional and helpful.
Negatives: They charge $9.99 a day for Internet.
Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 10 Jun 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Standard 4-star Hyatt. A little old, we were lucky and got a free upgrade to a suite overlooking the city and waterways on both sides of the building. Room would have been more romantic if they didn't seal the balcony, lawyers! Great room for the price, it is Miami. Staff was very helpful. Gave us good recommendations for parking and food. Best for business travelers, since personal travel I usually do south beach, but this is much cheaper on the weekend and only 5 min drive or 10min bike ride.
Positives: Great location downtown Miami. On monorail line.
Negatives: Expensive parking & internet. But that's typical for 4-star in city. Don't need a car.

Nice hotel, but definitely not what I was expecting from a 4 star hotel. The lobby was nice, but the hallways are very old fashioned (wallpaper/rugs). The best thing for me was the down comforter and pillows.
Positives: The staff was extremely accommodating for my needs.
Negatives: The parking for the hotel was so far!

This hotel is very clean and meet up to it's four stars hotel. However, its location is not very practical. There are no parking that come with the hotel. There is valet but you have to pay $29 a day and the parking garage is not free either.
Positives: This hotel is very clean and luxury. I like the view and their is also a car rental place for you to rent (Enterprise).
Negatives: They did not have free Internet for the price that it offers, and there are no parking. The only parking available is private garage but must pay.

Stayed at this Hyatt the night before our cruise. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful; easy check-in. Our room had a view of the river, was quiet and clean. Liked the small wall that divided the bathroom/closet area into a private dressing area. Comfortable bed and linens. Room was clean. Disappointed there was a charge for using Wi-Fi. Would recommend to others. Got our room through Priceline at an excellent savings!
Positives: Courteous, comfortable, and clean.
Negatives: Charge for Wi-Fi.
