The hotel itself is nice, and fairly comfortable, rooms are a bit tight, and while the hotel was well situated in relation to the beach front, we were disappointed in getting a room without a view. The Staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of Duval Street and the cool shops and many restaurants. If you want a quieter location for a good value, this is a good option.
Positives: The location was nice, and fairly quiet and walking distance to restaurants and shops.
Negatives: I think the rooms are a bit dated, but OK.

Nice hotel with private beach. Friendly staff. Great public areas and they had a beach - unusual in Key West. The charges on leaving seemed to me to be a ripoff.
Positives: Public areas.
Negatives: $25.00 + per day additional charge on exit for incidentals.

From the hammocks on the beach to the beautiful ocean view room, our experience at The Reach Resort was top notch. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend friends and family to stay here.
Positives: I absolutely loved this hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly (ex. upgraded our room, provided blankets for rooftop decks)
Negatives: The hotel claimed that the pool is heated to 80 degrees, but it wasn't

At check-in we were advised of extra fees for resort services. Room had dirty finger prints on doors and walls, several bulbs were burned out and not replaced. Restaurant was very pricy. The grounds were well kept and had a great view.
Positives: The grounds were well kept.
Negatives: Room was not clean, burned out bulbs many add-ons.

I went on a short getaway with the girlfriend. The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly and responded quickly to any problems we had. It was really an enjoyable experience. I will go back!
Positives: Very friendly staff. Very clean. Nice location. Love the dock. Everything was close by. Really had a great time ! I will go back.
Negatives: Hot water took awhile to heat up.

Beautifully renovated, neighboring (about a block north) Casa Marina much nicer and bigger. Good location, not great-wrong end of Duval, not a bad area though. Was asked to be upgraded because of room for the kids to sleep, and were no questions asked, but had to wait for it, not a problem, well worth the wait. Pool was smaller, but beach and pier? were very nice, especially in KW.
Positives: Upgraded to a boutique ste. had to wait, but worth it!
Negatives: $15 parking fee-self park?, and $25 resort fee-so much 4 savings.

This was a very nice hotel with a clean private beach. Amenities and activities were great. One block off of Duval St. and an easy walk to the activities there. Nice work-out facilities.
Positives: Beach was great. Quiet, but still an easy walk to Duval St..
Negatives: $15/day parking and $25/day convenience charge.

It would have been difficult to choose a better hotel in Key West than the Reach Resort. Rooms were modern and clean. Beds were unbelievably comfortable. Even little things like the bath robes they provided were GREAT! Location is perfect only 1 block away from the Atlantic end of Duvall Street.

Positives: Staff was fantastic.
Negatives: No negatives, room was great, location perfect. Great staff!

Noise echo's from hallways in the room we had. I'm sure others did not have the issue. Great location. Helpful staff everywhere!
Positives: Modern decor.
Negatives: Very noisy.

The Reach Resort in Key West had a private beach and boardwalk. There were water sports to rent and a pool. It was close to everything and we could walk to many attractions. The room was clean, but smaller than expected with no sofa or table. It had a very comfortable King size bed and one chair. The room was cleaned daily and the staff was very wonderful. I would stay here again.
Positives: The Reach has a beach and boardwalk at the hotel. We also had a partial view of the ocean. The king size bed was very comfortable and room was clean.
Negatives: The room was small and had only one chair. It had no table or sofa.

Hotel is not being maintained adequately. It could be a lovely place to stay, but the lights did not work properly, or the plug ins, the balcony had the ac vented onto it, it was way too hot to even use. I personally have stayed at budget motels that have been far better maintained. We did enjoy our stay because we had an open mind and wanted r and r by the pool, which we had, and enjoyed. If someone was looking for a 4 star resort, this would definitely not be adequate.
Positives: Location, pool and pool staff, beach access. Friendly staff.
Negatives: Rooms not maintained, hotel area is becoming rundown.

The resort was not what I expected for the price I paid. I most likely wont stay at this resort again.
Positives: The short walk to the beach.
Negatives: The poor access to the room.

This resort is ugly compared with other resort's in Key's. Construction next door and repair work at the Reach woke us up at 8am.
Positives: The pier was nice.
Negatives: I did like the $14 resort fee & $10 parking fee That's an extra $24 per day . This hotel was not resort quality.

It was okay but I definitely would not pay rack price for this. I was also surprised there was an additional $14.00 "Resort Fee" added to each day. The beach which was supposed to be the nicest on the island was full of seaweed and smelled bad.
Positives: Friendly staff, good location.
Negatives: A lot of things were old and breaking. Our pull out coach was horrible. The closet door did not close. There was some mold in the bathroom.

This hotel was ok, the room was adequate, about what I expected. the beach/pool area was beautiful. However the staff on the beach were only marginal, not very friendly at all. It was close to Duval street, about 2 blocks away from the south side of Duval street. I stayed in a room next to an area where they were remodeling a different building but wasn't affected by the noise. myself and quite a few other guests I noticed had difficulties finding their room and the elevators to the room. The hotel is kind of like a maze, easy to get lost in. Overall, not a bad hotel, but not a great one, certainly not what I imagined a resort in key west to be.
Positives: Private beach, close to Duval.
Negatives: Parking fee, resort fee, unknowledgeable staff, hard to find room/elevators.

A lovely resort. The beach is nice and the staff is friendly. The restaurants were expensive and the Beach Bar was grossly over priced. The rooms were showing there age.
Positives: Beach and Staff.
Negatives: Resort Prices.

Rooms are nice, outer hotel could use a face lift Was satisfied for the price and would return to hotel again for another stay.
Positives: private resort with pool and private beach that was not overbooked. Could always find own space without feeling crowded.
Negatives: No business service and charged $9.95 per day for in room Internet. Had to go to affiliated hotel down road for access to printer.

The room was very, very small (a large closet) shower dripped water on floor when not in use bath door handle came off. AC system didn't work properly. No ref,or coffee maker. TV was useless due to size of room. was told had I spent more money I would have had a better room by management. not at all a resort. very disappointed spoiled a beautiful weekend. GT.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: The worst experience ever.

The hotel is falling apart. The parking garage has standing water and falling concrete The valet parking is a rip off. Its dump that was dropped by the national brands and now is local run. Not a resort, Motel 6 is better.
Positives: Its a dump.
Negatives: Needs repair.

This hotel should be priced at around 85-100 dollar range. Although the hotel will undergo a renovation of 27 million dollars, its current state does not warrant the high price. Here are a couple of things that are wrong: showers too small (think about showering inside a coffin), the a/c is too loud even on the low setting, the hotel is in disarray, dirty and old. I would recommend anyone that is considering this hotel to book the Hilton instead.
Positives: It has one of the only beaches in Key West.
Negatives: Too expensive for a hotel that is falling apart.

I would not call this hotel a Resort, because in my mind that is 5 Stars +, it was more like a 3.5 Star. The hotel lacked the amenities that I would have expected at a "Resort" like a full gym/spa. If you just want a hotel on the beach and don't require much else, then this is fine; but if you are spending big money thinking you are staying at a 5 Star resort on the beach you will be very disappointed.
Positives: Location on the beach.
Negatives: Hotel under much needed construction.

Hotel is at a good location, beautiful beach and pool. Poor condition, dirty, tired rooms, Many things broken, Remote and no coffee maker. Free Shuttle never showed up at the airport in 1 1/2 hour. Called many times and kept being told it would be there in 15 minutes, finally took a $17.00 cab, Front desk didn't care, no apology. Could be a beautiful hotel, but needs a total make over. A walk in, got a lower rate than our "Special Rate" and was put on a higher floor!
Positives: Beautiful Beach Resort, Beautiful pool and setting.
Negatives: Poor condition, Many things broken, Tired room, Tired decor, Waited an 1 1/2 hours for the shuttle, never showed up, 4 calls, it will be there in 15.

We had a great time on the beach and in the pool. The location of the resort is great. However, the room was not very clean, and we had to walk around the whole building (in sweltering weather) to reach the elevators and back. We woke every morning to jackhammers and sawing -- construction is going on right next to many of the rooms; are they building a new resort? There is also construction in the parking garage which makes it very difficult to navigate (not to mention LOUD) and yet they still charge $10/day for parking a vehicle. There is nowhere else to park. The lobby is very difficult to locate when you first check-in. Also the rooms do not have amenities that I would expect in a resort such as a mini-fridge, microwave, or a coffeemaker. Ridiculous. Overall this "resort" is really not worth the price tag. It was our honeymoon and I really wish we had chosen to stay at one of those smaller inns!
Positives: The private beach was beautiful and very well-maintained. I wish I could have spent more time there! The staff was incredibly helpful and nice!
Negatives: The room was not very clean and the hotel as a whole was pretty run-down and did not meet my expectations.

Beach is so crowded you feel like you are on Coney Island. Pool is very small and also crowded. First room was horrible. Could hear jack hammers below due to construction. When I complained, Manager was very nice moved us to the other side of the hotel with a partial ocean view.
Positives: Quiet side of the island.
Negatives: Major construction going on in the parking garage and building adjacent to hotel. Dusty and noisy.

We enjoyed our vacation resort immensely, aside from the mess of garage repair and construction noise next door. Staff was friendly and helpful. Private beach was exquisite with umbrellas and chairs provided. We felt pampered when we were outside. I wish every hotel had such nice rooms.
Positives: The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and overlooked the ocean.
Negatives: Major construction taking place outside resort made for a noisy vacation.

It was a comfortable and nicely decorated Hotel, convenient to all the attractions in Key West.
Positives: Resort beach was nicely located, with a Caribbean Flare. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Negatives: It did not interfere with our weekend stay, there was some major construction repairs underway during the week.
