Friendly staff, I recieved a wonderful deal checkout was stress free and so was check in.

Positives: I came on a business trip with my family the hotel was beautiful however the prices for the hotel eateries are pricey for a person on a budget.

Negatives: Restraunts too pricey.

The hotel itself was nice. The fact that they mandatory make you pay deposits, high priced parking, and Internet in the room is NOT free, was very disappointing. Hotel placed fraudulent charges on my bank and double held money that they would not release for 3-5 days, basically stealing my money for 3-5 days. Most unprofessional and upsetting.

Positives: Nice room.

Negatives: Very expensive for parking and Internet.

I would recommend this hotel to all.

Positives: Close to home, and very nice.

Everything was wonderful except for a few things in the room. The carpet was coming up when you first walked into the room. The shower handle was falling off. The shower ceiling was coming down. No fridge in the room. The window looking outside was pretty dirty. Other than the few minor things, our stay was good.

Positives: Nice location, and friendly staff.

Negatives: No fridge in room, and shower handle falling off.

Great location (3 blocks) near "The Landing" which has restaurants & entertainment. Very easy access from I-95. Beautiful view of the St. Johns river from my hotel room - very romantic at sunset with a bottle of wine in the room :) Extremely comfortable beds & pillows. Wonderful enthusiastic staff who cannot wait to help you with anything. Lovely & clean hotel overall - definitely a 4 star+ Would stay here again!

Positives: Great view of St. John's river, great location near restaurants/entertainment at the landing, great bed, great room, great staff!

Negatives: Liked everything.

The hotel is located on the Jacksonville river front in close walking distance to most of the attraction. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and parking next to the hotel on the street and in the parking lot was free on the weekend.

Positives: The hotel is located in the a great location.

Negatives: The hotel charges for internet access in the room.

Great location right on the river! Safe for single female travelers. I even felt safe walking by myself to the Landing several blocks away, where there are a lot of restaurants. Hotel staff are extremely friendly - very hospitable! The Managers are very responsive to correct anything that was wrong and make you feel very welcome. Housekeeping wasn't on their game in terms of refreshing glass ware or tea, but overall, the hotel was very clean. There's an Einstein's Bagel attached to the hotel, plus a huge wonderful breakfast bar - all kinds of healthy foods including fruits and nuts & eggs. Bar as well as restaurant - the food was really good. It tasted fresh.

Positives: Friendly staff - ready and willing to upgrade, meet your needs & expectations.

Negatives: Microwaved my soup, but the manager went above and beyond to correct this!

The rooms were impeccably clean. The location was perfect and centrally located for the business minded and recreational tourist. Complimentary shuttle available. Fitness center and swimming pool in excellent shape. The staff made you feel like royalty and was very professional, friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to anyone if visiting downtown Jacksonville.

Positives: Very clean and extremely efficient and friendly staff.

Negatives: Absolutely nothing and excellent experience.

We expected this hotel to be of equivalent 3.5 star rating. What we got was maybe a 2.5 star. Room was dirty and bathroom door would not shut with out force and wife couldn't get open. Parking lot didn't have handicap access to main building without going 5 minuets out of the way.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Dirty room and pricey Internet.

We enjoy our stay at the Hyatt Regency in Jacksonville at all times. However, the restaurant prices are quite out of the ordinary, especially breakfast. The staff members were really on their jobs and making us feel welcome. The Director of VIP services was most cordial. There should be more handicapped parking spaces at the hotel; outside of the hotel and not the parking garage. Senior citizens should also be given discounts in the restaurant.

Positives: Sleeping accommodations, restaurants and services provided by staff and director of VIP services.

Negatives: Car garage charges and limited handicap parking at hotel and breakfast prices too high.

A<BR/>typical Hyatt with large rooms and great location. However it seems a bit dated.

Positives: Great location along river.

Negatives: Carpets looked old.

It was beautiful and the staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous.

Overall, for the most part the room was good, expected a little better for a Hyatt. I was surprised to find stains on the sheets &amp; blanket, &amp; expected better from a Hyatt Regency hotel. Very disappointed with the view from the room (looking out at a roof top) since it was booked well in advance. Of course, I could have have upgraded to a river front view for an extra $30. The room temperature was cold &amp; hard to adjust thermostat. Surprised no fridge or microwave &amp; heaven for bid you drank the Aquafina water they left $4 a bottle.

Positives: Friendly front desk &amp; guest services.

Negatives: The room temperature hard to adjust (cold).

I recently stayed at the Hyatt in Jacksonville,FL on St.John's river. I have stayed in many Hyatt's in the past I was looking forward to my stay in your hotel. I was greeted with a warm welcome by staff giving out free lemonade. I thought what a nice touch for your guest. Then I was helped to my room by a great bell man named who was very helpful in telling me where everything was located in hotel and around the area.
Unfortunately that's where my great experience ended. There were several times I tried to get a hold of guest services and the phone had to ring at least 10 or more times before anyone picked up. There was a few times it just rang and rang...
That evening I was blow drying my hair with the hotels hairdryer and it caught on fire. Thank god I didn't get hurt. So I called the emergency line to inform someone of what had happend. Once again it rang and rang.
After the second call I did get someone to bring me a new hairdryer.
Next day I had called down to room service for a pot of coffee and was unable to get anyone on the phone. Why do you offer this service if no one is going to answer the phone? I got no coffee! Because no one would pick up the phone!
I proceeded to check out which seems to go smooth. I settled my valet bill with cash at the check out counter and went outside to get my car. I had left something in the room and had to run back in. I left my boyfriend curbside to get the car where your valet picked a fight with him over the bill. According to your valet staff I was not to pay cash for the valet bill inside rather I was to give it them directly. I have never heard such a thing and the valet staff was very hostile to my boyfriend. Yelling at him in front of the hotel like we were trying to leave without paying them. How rude can you people treat a guest in such a manner. He had to run back inside and get to check out counter to clear him for having paid.

Positives: I was greeted with a warm welcome by staff giving out free lemonade.

Negatives: No one ever answers the phone when you call for guest and room service

Excellent hotel. Beautiful river view, extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, the Plaza Steakhouse has closed permanently, and the Sports Bar closed while we were there. They no longer have the free tubes of toothpaste and the Hertz rental desk is gone, as well.
Hotel promptly provided a crib for our son after check in complete with baby lotion, powder, shampoo, cleanser and baby towel. Remains an excellent hotel, although it is apparent they are not unscathed by the recent economic downturn.

Positives: Staff was extremely helpful and friendly; self service check in.

Negatives: Facilities closing due to economic downturn.

Very comfortable and romantic being on the waterfront. The staff was helpful but everything we needed was right there so we didn't interact with them much.

Positives: The hotel is right on the river (landing) which was gorgeous day and night. We were within walking distance of restraunts. We loved the beds.

Negatives: The main drive was confusing. The ice and vending areas were far away from the room in secluded spots. Gave me the willies.
