Considered a Florida architectural landmark the Lodge has been on the grounds since 1937 and is featured along with the nearly 6000 acre park and river on the National Register of Historic Places.Surrounded by canopies of oak hickory and beech trees the natural springs and Florida wildlife the Lodge offers an old southern feel and a peaceful getaway for family vacations and reunions weddings anniversaries conferences and other special events.The Lodge itself showcases an American style popularized during the 1920s and 1930s which combines Mediterranean Revival and art deco motifs including massive masonry and wrought iron grill work. There is also a lavish use of marble throughout the Lodge as well as heart cypress wood and breathtaking decorative art work depicting wildlife scenes.

Guests can also take advantage of all the activities the Wakulla Springs State Park has to offer including swimming and snorkeling in the natural freshwater spring. Riverboat and glass bottom boat tours give nature lovers a unique glimpse at Florida wildlife including alligators turtles manatees many species of water birds and more.
