Our hotel room was large with great amenities, i.e., full size fridge, microwave, stove top, coffee beans & grinder. The hotel entrance was very inviting with a gas log fireplace.

Positives: It was within walking distance Georgetown shopping and dining.

Negatives: It had no sundries store.

There was pleasant front desk staff, pleasant cleaning ladies, instant service to the room for all needs I requested, and all appliances I used within the kitchen area worked great.

Positives: When the TV Remote and the TV were not communicating, I was gradually given another room with access to the menu so I may watch other programming.

Negatives: Nothing I didn't like at this time; can't wait for the next opportunity to stay at the River Inn.

Large sized, beautifully decorated rooms/suites with full kitchen. Beautiful artwork/sculptures throughout building. Intimate, first class restaurant on lobby level. Fitness center, free WiFi.

Positives: Very friendly staff, very accommodating & attentive to requests.

Negatives: A few cooler nights but heating system was not operable.

I did a thorough review of this hotel prior to my stay and reservation. I was extremely pleased with all aspects of my week long stay. Great location, good service and the availability of the kitchen was a major deciding factor for us. Would have preferred to have an extra bed for children, however, we made sleeper sofa work for us. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Positives: Great quiet location. Loved having the kitchenette.

Negatives: Sleeper bed not comfortable for children.

Great hotel for value. Kitchen and bathrooms were a little older but all was functioning. Very stylish and great view of the area through the extra large window.

Positives: Close to public train transportation; clean enough with kitchen!

Negatives: Bathroom and kitchen a little older.

Nice place, nice rooms, great location, clean, friendly staff in the bar/restaurant. Evening desk clerk was not terribly helpful and had a curt demeanor. It was kind of pricey but it was DC in season.

Positives: Great location in the heart of DC.

Negatives: The evening desk clerk was brusque.

Check in was not pleasant. I confirmed a smoking room twice (the last time the day before my arrival). This was promised to me. Upon check in was told all the smoking rooms were blocked out and the hotel was becoming nonsmoking as of that day. I should have been notified ahead of time about this. However, they opened a smoking room for me (and a few other guests) and were given my promised room after I insisted the manager be called. Other than that, a very pleasant stay.

Positives: Spacious room, coffee beans in kitchen, comfortable bed.

Negatives: Trouble at check in.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hotel was in a quiet very pleasant historic neighborhood, yet it was very convenient to the Metro and downtown Georgetown. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, however the chef there, does get high ratings.

Positives: Quiet, pleasant residential area, close to the Metro and Georgetown, nice rooms.

Negatives: Nothing.

The staff was very helpful and nice, had to replace the hair dryer and did so promptly. It is in a convenient location to dining, shopping, metro, and entertainment. Billing was incorrect. Because computer was down at check out, was unable to review charges before departure. Am waiting on a correction from the River Inn--just requested it today. Will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Once the room was not made up very early in the day.

We have stayed at the river inn before and like the foggy bottom location. A metro station is nearby and Georgetown is a short walk away. The river inn suites are spacious and allow for a relaxing stay. Each suite has a kitchenette, so guests can make tea/coffee and enjoy the complimentary Washington post in the morning--or relax with a glass of wine or beer in the evening before walking to a restaurant. (A trader Joe¿s is nearby.).

Positives: Close to metro, Georgetown, restaurants and shopping.

Negatives: TV reception was not good.

The hotel was on a quaint street where we could park and avoid garage costs if we could find a parking spot. We were able to do that on two nights which created a cost savings for us and the hotel staff are the ones that informed us of the option. The staff was friendly and willing to assist with directions. They also provided us with complimentary continental breakfast tickets which we were not expecting so it was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the metro, Georgetown and other sites so the location is also appealing. Overall, our stay was very good.

Positives: The hotel staff was friendly and it was nice to have a kitchen facility.

Negatives: We were on the 8th floor and the water pressure wasn't great.

This hotel was a real find. Found it on tripadvisor.com. The hotel is on a beautiful tree-lined street next to George Washington University. It is located close to the metro and a short walk to Georgetown shops and restaurants. All rooms are suites and spacious. 2 nice perks--coffee beans and chocolate on our pillow.

Positives: This was a great location, excellent value, spacious, and clean. I have already recommended this hotel to others.

Negatives: The staff upon check-in were not friendly. However, the next day different staff were on duty and very helpful. No wireless in the room.
