Hotel is beautiful and the staff is very attentive and pleasant. You do feel like you have stepped into a little piece of France as soon as you walk in the door. The location is great - right near shopping, restaurants and the White House and surrounding attractions. We very much enjoyed our anniversary stay.

Positives: The staff and the decor.

Negatives: Nothing.

I was 'upgraded' to this hotel, but unless you use room service, honor bar, concierge etc. it really didn't make a difference. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable..

Positives: The 'French' ambiance of the hotel added to the elegance.

Negatives: Room was small.

We were warmly greeted and enjoyed the staff tremendously. The room however, was in bad shape. We did get an immediate response to our concerns for the worn sheets with a hole in the middle.

The location is a prime spot, right in downtown DC, 2 blocks from the white house. The hotel staff were always very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and the maids came in twice a day: once to clean up, make the bed and replace any towels, and once to turn down the bed. There was a full size closet for any hanging articles of clothing, but there were no drawers whatsoever, which just meant we had to be creative with how we put our clothes in the closet. That and the size of the room and bathroom are the only things that keep this hotel from a "Luxury Suite" rating in my mind. The room and bathroom were very nice of course, just a bit too cramped to classify it as "luxury". My ONLY complaint was the internet access. In an age where you can walk into most coffee shops and have free wireless access (without even purchasing a coffee in some cases), why must I pay an additional fee for internet in a room I'm already paying hundreds of dollars per day to use. This would have bothered me only slightly less if the free internet terminals off the lobby were not so slow.

Positives: Staff was always very polite and helpfull. Always clean and well kept.

Negatives: The wireless internet was not free, and the free internet terminals were a little slow.

Positives: Closed to everything.

Negatives: I don't care to much for French type food.

Wonderful hotel. The rooms were extremely large and spacious. Awesome flat screen TV with comfortable couch and lounge chair. The beautifully laid out bathroom and separate dressing area were something you'd see in a 5 star hotel. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Plush down mattress covers, with down comforters made you sink into a deep sleep. This hotel rocks!

Positives: Large room, beautiful seating area, great beds, beautiful bathroom, tons of space.

Negatives: Nothing.
