The location was excellent for our purpose. We had breakfast which was a little pricey, but excellent. The staff very friendly. The room very clean but very small. No dresser drawer to unpack suitcase.

Positives: Quaint

Negatives: The room arrangement and where the TV was situated in a cabinet that you had to close to get to the rest room.

This was an historical location, but impeccably decorated. Within walking distance of the White House.

Positives: Historic, beautiful, elegant experience, with employees that had pride in their job.

Negatives: Parking was almost not available,

The hotel unit consisted of a small common room and a bedroom. The unit was rustic in a good way. And generally it consisted of all hard furniture, but the bed was soft and inviting! I ordered room service, and the food was delicious!

Positives: The hotel lobby and another public spaces are beautiful. And the room had a very unique, historic charm.

Negatives: The wireless and cable internet didn't work for me.

Enough can't be said about Hanna, at the reception desk. She was the epitome of what a professional customer service representative should be. Thanks to her, our stay at the hotel exceeded our expectation by a long shot. We would highly recommend this hotel and, should we ever decided to visit Washington DC, we would definitely want to stay at the Morrison Clark again.

Positives: We much preferred the boutique feel of this hotel rather than a much larger one.

Negatives: Our main disappointment was with the housecleaning in that we were not always left hand/face towels & we had to clean coffee machine ourselves 3 x's

A beautiful building and friendly staff.

Positives: The historic charm.

Negatives: A little too cozy for 2 adults, 1 child. Restaurant too expensive!

This hotel is rich in history. Hard to believe it was built when Lincoln was President. Got a kick out of the light switches being about 30 inches from the ground and the peep hole on door was too high. Could not see out of it. Room was tastefully decorated. It was a quiet hotel with a friendly staff. Food was excellent in the dining room. Would stay there again.

Positives: The rich history of the hotel. Location was nice.

Negatives: Did not see business center/computer to use to check into airline. Front desk had to do this for me.

This was a beautiful historic, attractive mid-19th century hotel, with friendly desk service, prompt repair guy, valet, excellent restaurant, all of which would have won it a 5 star rating. However, all of the good is for naught when your gold cufflinks disappear from your room, the blinds in the bathroom window facing the street are broken and the repair man will not fix them to your satisfaction, forcing you to hang a towel up for privacy; the right curtain is somewhat damaged, the toilet overflows, there is hair in the bath tub, the TV looks to be of 1982, and the sprite in the room bar is dated October 2007. These are all unacceptable and will force me to encourage my friends to avoid this historic hotel until it comes under new management or goes out of its way to show travelers it is significantly reformed.

Positives: Restaurant, valet, and prompt repair tech; aesthetics.

Negatives: Cufflinks disappeared from room; toilet overflowed, shower had hair in it, blinds in bathroom broken (no privacy), curtain in the room was broken.

The hotel may have been a historical hotel but I didn't expect to stay in the servants rooms. We had two twin beds, an old small TV in a wardrobe one night stand, two lamps, one chair and a small bathroom. The room was over furnished with this small amount of furniture.

Positives: The staff of the hotel was helpful.

Negatives: The rooms were less than 3 stars and barely serviceable.

The hotel is an old facility with limited space. The rooms are very small like a European hotel. TV faces at a 90 degree angle from the bed and there is no chair to sit in. Lobby is very small and restaurant is closed on Sunday. The price of the hotel is expensive for what you receive.

Positives: Beds were comfortable, front porch was nice place to sit.

Negatives: Rooms were very small, not friendly to handicapped - lots of stairs although there is an elevator.

The hotel was very quaint, and lived up to it's historic reputation. Although the room was very small, it was very clean and the hotel staff were accomodating. I would return on a personal visit (this one was business) and would like to try one of the larger rooms or suites. Very good value for the money!

Positives: The price was excellent for the area of town.

Negatives: The room was very small - but I understand it's historic.
