The Washington Marriott At Metro Center is clean with a friendly staff and is in a great location to either walk to the national mall or jump on the train at the Metro Center Station (just a block away) to reach nearly any location in D.C. It is also walking distance to the White House. The vicinity also has more of a big city feel than many other areas in Washington.

Positives: I liked the convenience of location just a block from the Metro Center station.

Negatives: The wi-fi internet access was not free.

Price & location was great. Room was very nice. In the heart of everything.

Positives: The room was very clean, definitely a 5 star room.

Negatives: The restaurant was a little pricey & room view wasnt so great. Def did not like paying to park my vehicle $43 + a tip. But above all it was great.

Not what I expected for the actual price of the hotel.

Positives: The staff was great!

Negatives: Parking was very expensive and no mini fridge or iron!

Very disappointed. Although there was plenty of staff in the lobby and in front of the building, they were less than helpful when asked questions. While eight months pregnant and standing with my 2 year old waiting for my husband to bring the car around, a homeless man approached us yelling obscenities at my daughter. Meanwhile there were three doormen who stood chit-chatting and did nothing about the homeless man harrassing us. At one point, my husband asked the front desk staff about getting a cab for the memorial day concert and he was told that he was too late to bother going and we should find something else to do. We caught a cab ourselves and went anyway with no problems and it ended up being the best experience of our trip. If we had listened to the inattentive staff, we would have missed out on a great time. Also, when we checked in there was a used washcloth and bar of soap in the bathroom. However, during the rest of our stay, the cleaning staff did a really good job.

Positives: They provided plenty of towels in the bathroom, cleaning staff was very thorough after first day.

Negatives: Safety, staff not helpful, used washcloth and soap in bathroom at check-in, no free wi-fi

This beautiful hotel is centrally located in the heart of D.C, just off of the Metro Center station. The hotel staff was friendly, accommodating, and generous. Although we had already been given an amazing deal on a single king-bed room, they upgraded us to a king suite to accommodate our two small children at no charge. To further put us at home, a complimentary fruit basket was sent to our room. Everything was clean, orderly, and well-maintained. I highly recommend this location and their staff.

Positives: The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Negatives: Parking was valet only and $40/day.

Positives: I loved the location.

Negatives: I didn't like the Valet parking price.

Great rooms and staff. This hotel appears almost brand new. The beds are quite comfortable and the rooms are well appointed for this class of hotel. The lobby is nice and even though there was a function going on the weekend I was there, the rooms were very quiet. The only downside is the charge for internet - when will these full service hotels ever get this and the charge to login/print in the business center. There is a full service Starbucks in the lobby, which is nice too.

Positives: New, bright and clean and very close to the Metro station.

Negatives: Area around hotel somewhat deserted on weekends, but not far from some attractions.

I was very surprised after reading other comments on line I was so very worried about this place, all I can say is I found it nice, clean and most of all for someone like me who has never traveled like this before the A1 response of thier workers made me feel relaxed I give their front staff a big thank you they made my vacation enjoyable and not so scary which is a big thing for me because I suffer from social panic attacks.

Positives: most friendly people

Negatives: parking fees

Very good location, and good value. Convenient to Metro and museums. Only parking option is valet at $35/night, so factor that into the price you pay.

Positives: Excellent location for the price.

Negatives: Valet only $35/night.

Big room, big bathroom, clean, comfortable King-size bed and staff was great. From the front desk, to the concierge, the bellhops, the restaurant staff, the cleaning people - all were very friendly and cheerfully helpful.

Positives: The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Located close to all DC attractions.

Negatives: Few dining options nearby, other than pricey, formal restaurants.

Even though the hotel was undergoing renovations you could hardly notice as the renovators were quick, efficient and clean. I don't think I saw a bit of dust from the sanding and other activities that were going on. The staff was excellent and I loved the room particularly the deep fluffy bed.

Positives: The location was excellent.

Negatives: The only complaint I had was with room service and they took a bit of time to remedy that.

This is a great hotel for families to stay at while visiting DC. The best feature is the proximity to the metro station. Also having a refrigerator and microwave in the room would have been a welcome addition.

Positives: Location was excellent. Proximity to metro station was very convenient.

Negatives: Lack of a minibar/refrigerator in the room and the $35/day for parking a vehicle.

Overall, quite good. Clean, nice, comfortable room and friendly staff.

Positives: The gym and pool hours.

Negatives: I asked them to not do room cleaning and they did anyway.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was conveniently located for my needs (leisure travel) and close to shopping, dining and the metro, which made sightseeing easier. The price was unbeatable through priceline. Breakfast buffet for kids 4.95.

Positives: The helpful, friendly, eager to please attitude of all the staff members. Close to metro.

Negatives: The beds were slightly uncomfortable.
