Jake's Seafood House ( Dining / Seafood ). Located at 29 Baltimore Avenue. Are you ready for some mouth-watering seafood? Jakes has prided itself since 1988 in preparing fresh, quality seafood using old family recipes and, obviously, some twists on newer menu items. We pride ourselves in the fact that 95% of the food in our restaurant is homemade and prepared to order. We opened up with a philosophy of serving old Baltimore-style seafood using the best ingredients while trying to assure that our guests get a value for their dollar. Thrasher's French Fries ( Dining / Fast Food ). Located at 7 Rehoboth Avenue. In 1929, a Georgian known as Mr. J.T. Thrasher introduced a unique concept into the business community of Ocean City, Maryland.
This creative Southerner proposed a food stand concession, which would specialize in only one product: the noble French fry. Meeting with skepticism, Mr. Thrasher, an extremely religious man, forged ahead with his fledgling enterprise. His idea? Simply to produce the best tasting French fry ever eaten - past, present or future. He did.
