Sals Pizza & Pasta ( Dining / Pizza ). Located at 1211 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, 3 miles from the center of Saybrook Manor. In 1994 at the age of 60, Sal decided to open his own restaurant. His interest was to run an Italian pizzeria. After months of looking around for space, he finally found his location at the old Cumberland Farm Plaza by the Westbrook Town Green. To his surprise, by the second weekend of business with no advertising, there was a line out the door waiting to get into the dining room. We stayed in Westbrook for thirteen years when we decided to move to Old Saybrook in the spring of 2007. Sal was fortunate to own a lot on Spencer Plain Road, and was about to build his own building, designing it to suit the needs of the business. Today, Sal is retired and the family members are continuing to run the restaurant with pretty much the same menu Sal started 23 years ago. salspizzaandpasta.com Link
