The hotel is for those who don't mind about the price/expenses.
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: $10.00 charge for 24 hour Internet connection. Refrigerator is fulled with food for sale, not for traveler to use.

I asked for a refrigerator and one was delivered. We asked for a late checkout and there was no problem with this. Service is excellent. There are bathrobes in the rooms which I think is a great perk. They do charge for bottled water in the room and have a mini bar which I didn't use. Restaurant and bar are pricey, but a lovely view of the city.
Positives: Service oriented.
Negatives: No swimming pool.

I would really recommend this hotel. For someone visiting Yale for the first time it was very conveniently located. I was able to walk all over the place. The staff were polite and the hotel was an overall good experience.
Positives: Good location, polite staff and efficient service.
Negatives: Full of unruly high school students making a ton of noise in the lobby area.

I enjoyed our stay here, but because of paid parking, I am not sure this would be my first choice for next time. Overall, very clean and attentive staff.
Positives: The hotel staff was amazing, great price for what we received. I was happy.
Negatives: We had to pay $19 for parking per day to park in the hotel parking!

The rooms were beyond small, and I found the staff to be unaccommodating. The hotel did not have hot water for an entire morning and did nothing to accommodate myself or the people I was with. We were there for my sister's wedding and the entire bridal party had to take uncomfortably cold showers, including the bride. They ran out of the food they offer on their late night menu. The service staff for our private breakfast had poor attitudes and were unwilling to meet our requests-my table asked for soda. I couldn't believe this is a 4 star hotel. I've had better experiences at some motels.
Positives: It was clean. One person at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
Negatives: Ridiculously small rooms for the price.

Everything was fine. The first room we were given had a smoky odor, but they quickly and cheerfully changed our room. The gym was good, bath/shower was pleasant, and bed was very comfortable. Only problem was that we signed up for Wifi and it wasn't working well -so slow it was useless. They were very apologetic.
Positives: Clean, friendly staff, good gym, comfortable beds.
Negatives: WiFi was not working.

Positives: The close proximity to the city nightlife.
Negatives: The self parking fee was a little much at $18.

The king bed room was like an oasis. Clean room, modernly decorated, will always stay there when visiting new haven.
Positives: The bed was amazing, the view was beautiful.
Negatives: Elevator broken at 8 am- no signs, waited 15 mins before stairs.

I loved the atmosphere, luxury sheets, tons of pillows. Walking distance to Yale, which we were there to see, as well as restaurants, bars, and a nice park/green.
Positives: Right in the heart of New Haven.
Negatives: Had to pay for parking.

The hotel was nice, clean and the people were pleasant. On the down side, there was a fire in the hotel restaurant early Friday morning and we had to leave our rooms at 1:30 am and couldn't return until 4:00 am. Management did their best, under the circumstances, to offer water, blankets, coffee and tea to the displaced occupants but there weren't enough blankets to go around because management was barred from re-entering the hotel. I would stay at this hotel again even after the fire experience.
Positives: Bedroom & bathroom were clean, linens crisp, colors not garish.
Negatives: The long wait for the elevator from the garage to the hotel upon our arrival.

The hotel was very comfortable but it cost 25 bucks to park though.
Positives: The beds were heavenly.
Negatives: The elevators were nauseating.

Central New Haven location, easy stroll to restaurants and Yale campus. The hotel is much more welcoming inside than out and is excellent value.
Positives: Wonderful view from 20th floor restaurant and well located for Yale visits.
Negatives: Nothing objectionable.

Centrally located, certainly adequate. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom good sized, excellent shower. On the negative room is exceptionally small, wall paper and paint are dingy and peeling, ceilings low with large dusty vents.
Positives: In the city where my daughter lives.
Negatives: Small room, dreary, in need of renovations.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 02 Sep 2008 rated 9 out of 10.
Great location and staff was excellent. Will certainly stay again.
Positives: Excellent location.
Negatives: Parking was very expensive.

Really not a 4 star hotel for the price.
Positives: Staff was very friendly, although at times calling the front desk you didn't receive an answer you had to call operator, not good for a 4 star hotel.
Negatives: Room was way too small could hardly walk around the room with 2 people.

We are so glad we chose the Omni. Comfortable clean room, I never felt I had to worry about what my kids were touching! We asked for a view and the view of New Haven was terrific. The view from the restaurant on the top floor is said to be the best in town. We do not have a lot of demands as travelers, but everything felt easy and low key there. All I would ask for is better lighting in the bathroom. If I would been putting on make up for an event or wedding I would have been annoyed. But overall, a real pleasure to stay and I hope to stay again.
Positives: Friendly, helpful staff. Great location. Close to restaurants.
Negatives: The bathroom could have better lighting.

This hotel was very nice if you are visiting sites within New Haven. Parking was available and it is within steps of many wonderful restaurants.
Positives: Nice view from the restaurant.
Negatives: Too few elevators causing long, long waits and very crowded rides.
