Concow is a community and census-designated place in Butte County, California. It is named after the Native American tribe that is indigenous to the area, the Concow Maidu. The original inhabitants of the area had a diet of Salmon from the Feather River, acorns and pine nuts from the trees in the area, venison, and other sources of food which abounded in the California foothills.
