If I had paid full price I would have been really disappointed. Wasn't super clean or quiet. The TV kept cutting out and breakfast was not complimentary. We had the room set at 71 and ended up setting it at 68 and even then it didn't seem consistently cool. The bed was very comfortable though!
Positives: The king bed was very comfortable.
Negatives: The walls were thin and you could hear much of what was going on in the adjacent rooms and hallway.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bedding was luxurious and extremely comfortable.
Positives: The bathroom was nicely updated with a modern feel and the bedding was very comfortable.
Negatives: The rooms reeked of a very strong carpet cleaning product. Very bad for anyone and extremely bad for someone with allergies.

It's an old road side hotel, they are trying to pass off as upscale. None of the rooms are located close to the main lobby. Our room and every room we past had a terrible smell. Like it was embedded in the walls and floor.
Positives: The pool.
Negatives: Remolded recently but all the rooms smell like transits slept there.

Very convenient to the airport and U. Of A. Campus. Nice pool with adjacent gym, pretty grounds with citrus trees. Otherwise, it's a rehabbed cinderblock motel from decades ago, and shows it.
Positives: nice lobby and free Internet in the lobby
Negatives: room was not attractive and quite a hike from the lobby

The receptionist at the hotel told us that 90% of the hotel rooms are non-smoking and that getting a king would be no problem. Great! When we got to the hotel at 5:30 to check in we asked the receptionist what kind of room we had, she said a room with 2 double rooms. We told her that we had requested a king non-smoking room and were told that it would be no problem. She then said that she could see our request, but nothing was guaranteed. I asked why not. She had no reasonable answer and said that the room we were given was the only room available because the hotel was booked. We took our key and went to our room, only to find that our room was on a smoking floor. Not good.
Positives: Good location to food and shopping.
Negatives: My request for a king bed, non-smoking room was not guaranteed, even though I called 3 days in advance.

I stayed there the first night and instead of getting the same rate extend stay I went to priceline and bid higher hoping to get a different hotel but ended up at Doubletree again. They said they were giving me a suite at no extra charge when I asked for upgrade. I got to the room and it was a regular room with 2 double beds. When I called the front desk they said they don't have suites. They do have suites, it states it in lobby and Linda, the front desk worker said she was putting me in one at no extra chrg.I hurt my foot in the tub and ended up in a splint cast and on crutches. The tub is slanted toward the faucetand drain. My son slipped and fell in the courtyard and hit eye on a rock and had to go to hospital. So this was not a good or safe place to stay.
Positives: They had good cookies
Negatives: They told us we were getting a suite and didnt give us one

Positives: The rooms and the decor were up dated tastefully.

The hotel was going through renovations, however in a newly renovated room the air conditioner did not work properly, the closet doors did not open, the dresser doors did not shut all the way and the cleaning was not done thoroughly.
Positives: Easily accessible.
Negatives: Numerous troubles with the room.

Great warm cookies and a cordial staff. Hotel is being remodeled and the rooms are very nice. Construction debris was noticed but not an issue with the overall cleanliness of the rooms. We had to have the room checked due to the air not working correctly. Set the thermometer to 60 but the room was still warm and humid. Suited my wife fine, though.
Positives: Rooms were newly decorated and well appointed.
Negatives: Air conditioner did not work right. Very warm in room and humid.

When compared to the Sheraton on Grant Road, this Doubletree surely wins. It might be an older building, but they've done a really nice job decorating the rooms and common areas. Get a high floor room for spectacular views. I'd recommend this hotel.
Positives: Love the room decor and bathroom products.
Negatives: Construction with loud banging started before 7 am!

The staff was rude.
Positives: The best is when I checked out and left.
Negatives: The entire experience with the hotel made my trip difficult.

First of all we turned our AC on to 60, which is the coldest setting, left and returned 4 hours later. The room was still hot. Called front desk, rude woman answer and said she was sending maintenance up. Had to call again 1 hour later because no one had come. Then his solution was a fan. Called front desk for 6 towels and a maid came with 3. The floors were dirty. My ironing board was broke. The iron leaked. The toilet paper roll holder was broke. Parking was horrible. I have stayed at other Double Tree hotels and have never been treated this way. As if I was bothering them. I do not recommend this Branch in Tucson, AZ.
Positives: There was one friendly man up at lobby door who gave my turn by turn directions to our destinations.
Negatives: Rude staff. Front desk and maids.
