Excellent for the Priceline price!

Positives: Pool was great.

Negatives: Wasp nest on patio made it un usable.

The hotel is just great. I had to pay $15+tax/day for a resort fee which included things like free local calls. This did not include Internet room fee or valet parking.

Positives: Amenities were fantastic.

Negatives: Resort fee at the end of the trip.

The Westin La Paloma is an attractive resort property with nice pools and landscaping. The rooms are spacious with large balconies. The decor in the room is good, the bathrooms are a bit dated. The gym was small and outdated. This is a good place to stay, but not at full price.

Positives: Large property with nice landscaping.

Negatives: The gym was small and outdated.

Although I checked in early, I was informed there were no king beds available that evening - only 2 doubles. They could not find us a room with a single bed. Then they tacked on the $15 resort fee to the price for the room, without informing me of the charge in advance. I asked if the room had a fridge in it at the counter - they said they were phasing out the mini-bars, so the rooms have fridges, but nothing stocked in them, and they don't work. The first room I was placed in was extremely noisy. I attributed it to kids running around above us and asked to be placed in another room. The front desk accommodated us, but it became apparent that the noise is just due to thin walls/ceilings, as you could still easily hear your neighbors but fortunately our new neighbors were less active than our old ones. In short, there are better options in Tucson that I will be staying with in the future.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Rooms were not quiet - too much noise from those around.

The $12.95/day Internet connection fee was excessive. The rooms were quite a distance away from the lobby, restaurants, etc. Just a very tough place to navigate. The parking lot was quite a distance from the rooms hard to convey luggage. Persons with disabilities or families with small children would find it troublesome.

Positives: The setting is nice - it is well maintained.

Negatives: Inconvenient layout - difficult to get around.

Beds and pluming poor. Television had to be replaced. parking too far away.

Positives: Valet services great.

Negatives: Water not draining out of sinks, poor beds difficult to sleep.

Great hotel that needs the rooms spruced up.

Positives: Location, vistas, and friendliness of staff.

Negatives: Rooms are getting old.

La Paloma is on a par with Omni Tucson National and Ventana Canyon. Excellent pool areas that can be from kiddie to adults only. The freezing waterfall pool is unique and refreshing. Restaurant is expensive as you would expect. They have the sneaky daily resort fee that should be taken into account when budgeting. Use the self-parking for added value.

Positives: Awesome pool area. Great views of mountains. Nice balconies. Great golf courses.

Negatives: No free wireless internet. Business folks will want that.

The air conditioner was capped at a certain temperature and it was warm. There was food floating in several spots in the pool and the water was not very clear.

Positives: Staff was excellent.

Negatives: Room was outdated and saw several bugs.

Had my elderly parents and met other family there. Great setting for the younger set to play, but more difficult for older parents as the walk from parking and to the pools was long. Staff was<BR/>very helpful even poolside.

Positives: Effortless seeming efficiency - very clean, friendly.

Negatives: Parking was

The hotel is in a beautiful location, close to the mountains. The common areas of the hotel were attractive and the bistro restaurant were nice. But the hotel is almost twenty years old and shows its age. The room was average and not particularly clean. The bed was old and the pillows were old and lumpy. The hotel charged an additional $15 per day as a service charge for its facilities, whether they were used or not. When we tried to make a reservation for dinner at the hotel's signature restaurant, we were told there was no availability, although the hotel did not seem particularly full at the time of our stay.

Positives: The location was close to the mountains and was very beautiful.

Negatives: The bed and pillows were old, the toilet did not flush, the room was not clean and robes, coffee cups had to be asked for.

The Westin La Paloma is located in a beautiful area of Tucson. The views are scenic, the golf course challenging and the staff friendly. We did find ourselves going out to eat almost every meal because the food didn't suit our tastes. It seems to better suit the convention or business traveler rather than families.

Positives: Location was great, scenic views.

Negatives: Internet wouldn't work properly and

Very overpriced for the quality and experience. Seems that they are solely relying on their conference business. Rooms are below the level of local 3 star hotels. But what do you expect for Tucson? Nearly all of the resort type hotels are old and in dire need of renovations. Maybe someday one of the Tucson resorts will get it right. In the meantime, stick with the 3 star hotels in Tucson.

Positives: Front desk staff was very friendly.

Negatives: Hotel restaurant was poor, especially for the money! Rooms were

The area is beautiful to those unfamiliar with the desert, the landscape is kept nicely. The pool area is very spacious and has a nice swim up bar. The rooms have older furniture and we found a roach crawling across the floor in the middle of the night. The front desk manager is very disquieting with his worries of being stiffed for room charges. all of the other staff was polite.

Positives: The pool areas are quite, extraordinary, there is adult area separate and the slide is great for kids.

Negatives: The rooms are very average for a "suite".

This is my second time a La Palomar and it was again a very enjoyable stay. The pools are always a treat! I can't wait for my next visit to La Palmoa.

Not even close to a Four star hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. This hotel reminded me of a 2 to 3 star hotel. Its in need of a real face lift.

Positives: The pool. The hotel is not even close to 4 stars.

Negatives: The room looked outdated and the bed was horrible.

The hotel is beautifully situated in the foothills area of Tucson. Staff are very accommodating. I would like to have had more time to spend there.

Positives: Luxury and comfort, beautiful grounds and surrounding area.

Negatives: I resent paying additional service fees to any hotel when I do not intend to use the extra services for which I am being charged!

This resort is a no go! I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express the week before and had better service, nicer room, and they even provided 24 hour hot coffee for free! I will not stay at the Westin La Paloma ever again!

Positives: The Jacuzzi was warm.

Negatives: The cocktail waitress ripped us off at the bar! Hair in bathtub!

This was a wonderful resort with a beautiful view of the mountains and a great room. There were a lot of quail running around on the grounds. The landscape was immaculate and well designed. The beds were very comfortable. There was a bit of a walk to the rooms which was fine for us, but may be a hindrance to those with limitations. They did have a shuttle to use. Enjoyed our stay very much, would love to go back.

Positives: Beautiful surroundings, lots of quail, very comfortable beds.

Negatives: I did not appreciate the $15 "extra fee" that they tack on (non negotiable) for use of pool, gym, etc. Just put it in the price.
