We really enjoyed this hotel. It was very nice and the grounds were beautiful. It had two large pools and a very nice workout facility. Would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend this hotel.

Positives: It was comfortable with a large, clean room and it had a nice pool and no additional resort fee.

Negatives: The handle broke off the patio door, but otherwise, I really liked the hotel.

Will not return.

Positives: Checking out.

Negatives: Two wake up calls at 04.30 and 05.00 that were not ordered, in fact no wake up calls ordered. Pathetic staff!

Very nice. Pool was nice. Sheets were very soft. Great place to relax. They give you warm cookies upon check-in, which was a nice touch.

Positives: Sheets were very soft.

Negatives: Not enough chairs at the pool area.

A weird place that seems stuck in some 90s time warp. Old bathrooms and outdated furnishings and no Wi-Fi. I was there with my husband.

Positives: The grounds were interesting and the room was big.

Negatives: The bathrooms were gross and everything was outdated. No Wi-Fi!

If you are wealthy and you like nice things are are willing and able to pay for it, this is a good hotel for you. If not, you might want to reconsider because you will be charged for everything, including things that would be free in most hotels (Internet, for example). They don't have a continental breakfast, and in-hotel dining is quite expensive. The concierge did not answer the phone, the front desk person would not answer our questions, when we finally spoke to the concierge, she also was not helpful. They do have free parking, which was a relief, since everything else will cost you.

Positives: Clean and beautiful facilities.

Negatives: There was an up charge for everything.

Upon check in we were asked the reason for our stay. It was only my husband and I and we told them we were celebrating something. They put us in a room with 2 queen beds. The hotel was obviously not booked anywhere near capacity and when I called and inquired about a king bed room they were hesitant and then charged us additional for it. I guess because I am an elite member with Marriott I expect better service. I would never have been charged extra for a room thats sitting vacant.

Positives: The grounds were beautiful.

Negatives: The room seemed outdated. Not 4 star quality.

I would stay here again. People were friendly, stay was without surprises.

Positives: Beds and pillows were extra comfortable and the triple sheeting makes it so clean.

Negatives: Carpet is dated in the room.

Great hotel. The business center was very convenient. Parking was ok. Would stay again. Very close to the mall and Old Town.

Positives: The room was large. Pool area looked nice. Business center was convenient.

Negatives: The bathroom was small.

Overall this was a disappointment! The hotel was nice, if our experience was better it would have been enjoyable.

Positives: The room and outside areas (courtyard/pool) look nice and were well kept.

Negatives: Did not receive the bed type we requested and were woken up early by lawn workers/noise!

We enjoyed our stay. The price we paid through Priceline was wonderful, but if we had paid full price or close to full price I would have been disappointed with our room. Our room was as far away from lobby and pool.

Positives: Pool and grounds were beautiful and relaxing.

Negatives: Our room was as far away from lobby and pools as possible.

Exceeded expectations and beautiful landscaping.

Positives: Tennis courts.

Negatives: Location of elevator was via the parking lot.

This is a beautiful hotel with a large park, tennis courts, two large swimming areas and great workout facility in downtown Scottsdale. One of the best I've experienced.

Positives: Two large swimming pools and great workout facility and ability to park right next to room.

Negatives: Nothing specific.

The hotel was quite satisfactory, but was huge and rather dark and sober. I wanted a holiday resort hotel, but what I got was a large conference hotel. Everybody was in a hurry, business oriented, and both staff and guests were unfriendly.

Positives: The room was clean, and the in-room coffee was reasonably good.

Negatives: Check-in at 4pm, building was dark and unpleasant.

Overall a very nice place to stay. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Positives: The pizza, the grounds were beautiful, the pool was clean and cold. Rooms were quiet.

Negatives: Our room looked thrown together needs hooks in the bathroom.

I really appreciate that this hotel/resort was not a cookie cutter building - the design is really thoughtful....and I cannot rave enough about the nice staff...Also, the restaurant should be promoted to the general public.... it is super .

Positives: Privacy, nice architecture, really responsive, happy staff, dinner was great.

Negatives: Iit's in Phoenix.

This is an older resort type property in need of an upgrade.

Positives: Price

Negatives: Long distance between room and hotel facilities and lobby area.

I stayed here before (through Priceline) and had a great experience. My room this time had a patch of the carpet melted by the iron. The walls and moulding were in need of maintenance and repair. Just not nearly as high a quality of room as the first stay.

Positives: Generally a nice place.

Negatives: Room I got this time a little run down.

Hotel is nice. However, our room was located down a hallway that was extremely noisy. One side of the hall was rooms, the other side were small meeting rooms. During the early morning hours, staff were setting up the meeting rooms and made lots of noise. Also, at the end of the hall is the banquet kitchens. The noise from the kitchens echoed down the hall. So, it was impossible to get sleep after about 5am every morning. Be sure to request a room away from all meeting rooms and banquet facilities.

Positives: Comfortable.

Negatives: Too noisy.

Located about two/three miles from Old Town Scottsdale. Nice park with palm trees, but no chairs to enjoy it except in front of ground floor rooms. Expensive bar. Not actually a "Resort", but a nice and good hotel.
Parking and hallways accessible to public even during nighttime.

Positives: Quiet, spacey, clean room and bathroom.

Negatives: Wanted to keep towels, but no rack to hang them for drying.

This was my first time staying here. The trees and yard blowers were going off early morning, woke me up, that was a drag. Friends were in visiting me, so
I put them in that hotel.

Positives: Great cookies, too much yard work going on.

Negatives: The trees were being cut, very noisy.

I stay at this hotel often as it is close to Scottsdale where I am usually going when I head to Phoenix and the rooms are very comfortable. This time I got a second floor room with a patio that was awesome to sit on in the evening.

Positives: This is just overall a great hotel.

Negatives: Nothing!

Customer service at the hotel was great. I felt bad because, I thought several items may have been taken from the room, but in reality I just misplaced them. They were very responsive, just wish I had more of a chance to thank them and apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused.

Positives: Warm cookies on arrival.

Negatives: No major issues but more detail to maintenance of rooms. Vent rattled and could not dial out with one phone.

The accommodation were clean and comfortable.

Positives: It was clean and very well maintained.

Negatives: The cleaning staff entered the room and took their tip before we vacated the room.

Everything is too old in this hotel (by Scottsdale standards). Should be 2 stars. Maybe 2.5 - max.

Positives: Great location!

Negatives: Haven't been updated for a long time. Should not be 3.5 stars.

Very nice hotel. I wished we had more time to spend there.

Positives: Pool. Staff was very good about us being late on check in. We actually missed our flight to Phoenix and came in the following morning.

Negatives: Nothing - outstanding.

While the hotel itself was pleasant, it was not on par with what I expect in a four star luxury resort.

Positives: The pools were pleasant and the beds were comfortable.

Negatives: The front desk staff needed improvement.

Very nice hotel, but rooms are starting to show their age. Pool area is very nice, well taken care of.

Positives: Nice staff.

Negatives: Small bathroom.

Negatives: None. No complaints!

We loved this hotel. The staff was great and I especially liked the extended pool hours. We would recommend this hotel.

Positives: Friendly, beautiful and warm cookies upon arrival.

Negatives: There was a $10 a day fee for internet in your room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 08 Jan 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Great hotel except there is no pattern to the room
so you can get lost. As noted, even on the 2nd floor you can't leave a door open. People climb the walls all the time. I have stayed here twice and I really like it. The rooms are beautiful. Coffee maker but no fridge.

Positives: Great hotel rooms.

Negatives: The entire hotel wall was built upside down so there is no room/balcony security.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 05 Jan 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Great place to stay. Very convenient, staff was friendly and upgraded our room at no cost. No resort fee.

Positives: Great staff, nice food.

Negatives: Not as fancy as I expected.
