Hassayampa Inn
Prescott, Arizona
Hassayampa Inn is a hotel located in Prescott.
Since the day it opened in 1927, the Hassayampa Inn has been a sought-after retreat for travelers desiring attentive service in a charming and relaxed environment. The hand-painted ceiling beams; wall murals; rich glazed tiling; etched and stained glass windows and doors all combine to create an atomosphere that is both warm and inviting. Sit in the courtyard and enjoy a coffee in Prescott's temperate weather. When the weather cools sit by a roaring fire in the Lobby with a libation or listen to live jazz every night in the Cowboy Bar. Hassayampa is a Yavapai word meaning, "River that runs upside down." The Hassayampa River runs mostly underground.
Local dining options close to Hassayampa Inn include Palace Restaurant & Saloon, Genovese's Ristorante Italiano, Hugo's Cocina, and Olivas’ Mexican Food.

We enjoyed our stay in this historic hotel. It is clean and well kept, but it is an old property. Reminded us of a three star European hotel.
Positives: It is beautifully restored.
Negatives: Lots of steps if that is a problem for you.

The Hotel was in a great location and nicely decorated, Bed was very comfortable. Hotel had been remodeled but I think they forgot to update the carpets. Carpets were old and need replaced and there was no pool to swim in. The hotel was very conveniently located to walk many places. The staff was friendly.
Positives: The Front Desk Staff - EXCELLENT.
Negatives: No pool.

We reserved one night at the hotel and liked it so much we arranged for a second night. The lobby is charming. The bar and restaurant are lovely, reasonable and the service and food were above average. The room (particularly the bathroom) was very small but the bed was very comfortable.
Positives: Happy hour and live music in the bar and restaurant was quaint.
Negatives: Bathroom was truly tiny. If you're a big person, it would be uncomfortable.

The Hassayampa is a very quaint, historic and well preserved hotel in an excellent location. The room was quiet and comfortable, but quite small. Overall, you can't beat the ambiance and sense of history here - especially the elevator.
Positives: Very authentic and historic.
Negatives: Rather small bathroom and guest rooms.

Staying at the Hassayampa Inn was the most enjoyable hotel stay I have every experienced. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel clean and well maintained and simply gorgeous. I was sad to leave.
Positives: Positively gorgeous, with old world charm. Friendly and helpful staff. Best hotel experience I have ever had.
Negatives: A very lazy waiter at dinner.

There was no AC and the room was very hot and smelled old and musty. There was mold in the bathroom shower! I had to leave because I was having a difficult time breathing. I'm very allergic to mold.
Positives: I did not like anything.
Negatives: There was and elevator that could only be operated by staff and I was on the third floor.

Quaint elegance, but take your earplugs if you plan to sleep. Too much slope to shower floor and no grab bar.
Positives: Quaint art deco lobby.
Negatives: Very small rooms, very noisy.

Comfortable place to stay, friendly staff - great hotel for a simple weekend get-a-away but don't expect any frills. Definitely a historic hotel. Probably not the kid-friendliest hotel.
Positives: Historical and location.
Negatives: No free breakfast.

The Hasayampa Inn is a charming, historic hotel right in Prescott's quaint downtown, but it is definitely not handicapped-accessible. In the room I rented, which had lovely antique furniture, one had to step up about 8 inches to enter the tiled bathroom. The lovely, natural wood floor was very slippery, so be careful if you are in your stocking feet. I almost slipped and fell twice. Kudos for their complimentary breakfast selections pretty much anything on the menu are outstanding. Would I stay there again? Yes!
Positives: It is a historic hotel (1920s) with a lot of character, and the free breakfasts are gourmet quality.
Negatives: To access the vintage, staff-operated elevator, you must walk up a flight or 6 or 7 steps.

It is beautifully situated in historical downtown Prescott. I was a bit disappointed that is not kept up quite as good as it could have been. It was very quaint and historical. The Peacock room had excellent service and exquisite fine dining. That was the best part.
Positives: The Peacock room had a wonderful breakfast that was included in our stay.
Negatives: We were the only one checking in and she kept us waiting while she chit chatted on the phone and was a bit rude.
