Convenient located, this hotel has very nice rooms and comfortable beds. Staff is friendly and accommodating (had a noisy room - they put me in another without problems. Local calls and Internet aver very expensive though.
Positives: Location, and room size.
Negatives: Huge charges for local calls and Internet access.

Our stay was not bad, but despite being a two person stay we only received 1 set of towels and supplies. The room had a stool and office chair which were ready to collapse. TV hotel services did not function, the staff told us "not to worry about it". Wireless internet access was not free and was inaccessible in our part of the building (despite good signal strength).
Positives: Cleaning staff were good and accommodating.
Negatives: Furnishings were old and chairs were falling apart.

The hotel is of the late 70's vintage, in need of major renovation. Rooms and hallways are tattered and worn. No detailed cleaning had been done in the room. Don't look behind the bed. The beds were nice. Internet was an added $10/day charge not covered by priceline,
Positives: Dining staff.
Negatives: Dated, worn , dirty room.

Alaskan style hotel, with AK. animals on display. Friendly staff, large comfy rooms, could use some updating, but all in all not a bad place to stay.
Positives: Close to airport, rooms fairly large, coffee maker, microwave & refrigerator in room.
Negatives: Jacuzzi tub not functioning & no swimming pool.

Negatives: Rooms are dark.

2.5 star hotel close to airport, needs remodeling.
Positives: Close to airport.
Negatives: Old and worn down.

Priceline had rated this hotel as 1 level below top notch! It was nice but I would not call it a luxury hotel. With luxury, you get a lot of amenities at no charge and here the internet was $10 per day.
Positives: The location and being on the lake were ideal for having a great place to relax in the evenings after work!
Negatives: It just needed some general upgrades that come with age. Old air conditioners in the windows of the rooms.

The hotel is outdated and was unclean. Definitely not the 3 1/2 star rating. I was very dissatisfied. Also, we were unable to get a King bed and beds were so small my husband and I had to sleep in separate beds.
Positives: Friendly staff.
Negatives: Dirty and outdated.

This is not a 3 or 3 star plus hotel. I will not stay here again.
Positives: The size of the room.
Negatives: Beds were very small, hotel was run down from what I remember, got no maid service, maid did not speak English, the room was very hot.

The location of this hotel is nice the hotel is starting to show it's age. The hot tub was pretty good; however, the hotel staff at the registration desk including manager on duty were very rude and very unfriendly.
Positives: The hot tub.
Negatives: The staff was very rude and not at all helpful, put three people in two single size beds.

The Millennium used to be a nice place to stay, but has deteriorated over the past several years. The facility needs a makeover or updating/remodeling. The hotel restaurant was poorly managed and poorly staffed. I never got a refill on my coffee, although the restaurant was neither full nor busy, and paying the check was an adventure in patience. After waiting forever at the table for our server to return, we finally took our check to the cash register. There, we were helped by three different people, none of whom had the authority to take our money. They all went off in a fruitless search for our server. Finally, a hotel worker from the espresso bar outside the restaurant took pity on us and let us pay our tab at his register. We will not be returning to this hotel again.
Positives: The hotel's location is convenient.
Negatives: The service at the hotel restaurant was incredibly bad and disorganized.

This hotel is 30 years old and is currently doing renovations. We have stayed there twice recently when there either was no water or no hot water. Staff was rude and offered nothing to offset the water problems. The rooms are worn out; dirty, stained carpet and many things broken. This is marginally only a two star hotel.
Positives: Good restaurant and bar.
Negatives: No hot water for five hours, rude staff, dirty rooms and run down condition of rooms.

Love the restaurant and friendly staff.
Positives: Restaurant and lobby.
Negatives: The rooms need to be remodeled, walls shabby.

Positives: The lobby has a great "hunting lodge" feel due to the decor and comfortable seating.
Negatives: I expect free internet, but was very disappointed to find they charged for it.

They have lovely reception people who are very attentive. The hotel has an elegance with out being pretentious.
Positives: It has a nice open lobby with a real Alaskan feel, very tasteful.
Negatives: I have nothing negative to write.

Beds were extremely comfortable. Rooms were quiet.
Positives: An espresso bar in the lobby.
Negatives: Not very close to shopping.

I have stayed twice at this hotel in the last 2 months. It is for sure not a 3.5 star. The first time I called in and requested a King bed they said no problem. When I arrived the King bed was not available and the receptionist was on the the phone for a long time before acknowledging I was there. 2nd stay water was shut off midnight to 5 am and we were told to run water for 15 minutes in morning to clear pipes, after 45 minutes the water was still running brown. No shower as I had to leave so that was no what you expect in a 3.5 star hotel.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Definitely not a 3.5 star, stayed twice in last 2 months not great either time.

The rooms are run down, things were broken, my husband and I both ended up in the middle of a king sized bed because of the bed slopping towards the middle, and the TV did not work.
Positives: Location close to airport.
Negatives: Rooms were run down, dark, dirty, and the bed was broken.

This was a nice place but needs minor upgrades in appearance.
Positives: It was clean and no bad odors.
Negatives: No continental breakfast and no pool.

I was told that I was checking in too late and that they were short on rooms. I argued that I had a pre-paid guaranteed late arrival, and I was told "yes, but it was not through the hotel". I eventually got a room, but had to wait around for almost an hour while they arranged to clean a vacant room. It was embarrassing and I was tired (I didn't get in my room until almost midnight).
Positives: Convenient to the airport with a restaurant on-site.
Negatives: It is dirty and run down. Definitely not 3 1/2 stars.

It is not a 3.5 star that I would recommend. On paper this hotel looks good, but the fact of the matter is that the rooms are not cleaned or maintained well and the construction is shoddy. The hotel is of wood construction and when people walk around on the floor above you, you hear it loud and clear. So folks, if you want a place by the airport to spend the night due to a late arrival at the airport, this hotel might do
Positives: Location to airport.
Negatives: Run down dirty hotel.

This hotel is more of a 2.5 to 3 star. The room was warm then cool all through the night.
Positives: They had a freezer to put my fish in.
Negatives: The freezer defrosted with my fish inside.

Nice atmosphere. Clean and friendly staff. It is a large facility and our room was all the way at the end which made it difficult with luggage.
Positives: Great location to the airport and the city. They have free shuttle service to the airport and the city.
Negatives: It was a great place to stay

The place needs some maintenance. Run down and not very clean in the common areas. Not a 3-1/2 star, 2 star at best!
Positives: Bed was comfortable.
Negatives: The place is run down.

Like a lot of hotels in this economy they are cutting corners and maintenance is lacking.
Positives: It has good Alaska atmosphere.
Negatives: The food was not good, hot water was lacking and no apologies were made.

Terrible room, it smelled like an old stale cigarette. It was smoked in and the smell made me and my wife sick to our stomachs and we didn't sleep most of the night. Thank goodness we brought our own pillows because their pillows were terrible, shaped like a log and hard like one too.
Positives: Lobby was nice.
Negatives: The hotel room was disgusting and made me want to vomit because of the old stale cigarette smell in the room, crappy pillows, and we froze!

I recommend getting a king or queen size bed. The hotel is lovely, nice bar and restaurant. The decor is nice.
Positives: Proximity of airport, free parking, lovely building and grounds, and good food.
Negatives: This room had 2 double beds and were not uncomfortable for two.

Overall, this hotel is not bad, but I question the 3.5 star rating it's given. This is equal to the Sheraton and there is no comparison. The rooms were clean the service was good, the lounge and hotels were nice, but the main factor to me was the hotel itself was not that nice. The room temperature was very cold and when I asked about it they said to turn the fan up. I did but regulating the temperature was difficult. The layout of the location of the rooms was awkward. The rooms are ok like I mentioned. They were clean, but the quality was not 3.5 star rating, the shower stall was equal to a lower rent hotel and the water controls were not functioning correctly. I don't wasn't to give the impression this was a bad place to stay because it's not, it's the rating it's given which usually reflects the cost per night. I would give the Meridian a 2.5 star rating, but that's just me.
Positives: Restaurant , lounge, and staff.
Negatives: Not a 3 star hotel, seems a bit run down for the star rating.

I will never stay there again. It was dirty, smelly and old. With no pool. What 3 1/2 star Hotel doesn't have a pool?
Positives: Nothing!
Negatives: Dirty, smelly, old, noisy.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 06 Jan 2010 rated 7 out of 10.
The staff, dining room, bar, and accommodations are excellent, but better maintenance needs to be done in the guest rooms. The toilet in our room had a bubbled and scarred toilet seat and the grout needed to be redone.
Positives: Very friendly staff.
Negatives: Maintenance of room, bathrooms was apparent.

Easy to get to from the Airport. No swimming pool. Slow internet that you pay for. Comfortable beds and room space.
Positives: They have mini fridges in the rooms.
Negatives: Internet costs $10.00 a day when at other places is free and faster.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 01 Dec 2009 rated 7 out of 10.
Good location to airport. Friendly staff. Great Lobby ambiance. Rooms are dated except for some new furniture. I wouldn't pay full price for a room here, but for $55 it is worth it to stay here.
Positives: Great lobby ambiance!
Negatives: Rooms are dated even though there is some new furniture.

This hotel is safe, has a restaurant and has a great location. The lobby is beautiful but the carpets in the room are very old and in the hallways. Feels worn down. The upkeep is lacking. Our hair dryer, TV remote, and phone did not work properly. There were bugs in the ice bucket. The room size was wonderful. two sinks and counters. I felt the hotel needed to do some upkeep on the place to be a 3 1/2 star. But with that upkeep it could become a 3 1/2 star again.
Positives: Beautiful entry.
Negatives: Carpet was very old, bugs in ice bucket, drain bad in tub phone and remote did not work very old looking and worn.

I plan on staying there again.
Positives: The staff was the best.
Negatives: Can't think of anything.
