It is okay if you are on a budget. We stayed in adjoining rooms with all of our family. We also stayed in a lower level room facing the parking lot which is okay but not great. The pool needed cleaning at the time of our visit.
Positives: It is an older motel remodeled in some areas. Its okay for the price.
Negatives: I did not like the motel-like rooms facing the parking lot and the pools were nasty.

Positives: Location, professional staff.
Negatives: Ice machine broken on second floor.

Overall the hotel was okay. Expensive for what we got. It is convenient to interstate traveling. Lots or restaurants around.
Positives: They did offer breakfast.
Negatives: We had a handicap room and did not need one.

The Fort Payne Econo Lodge is the cheapest hotel in the area, and probably the best economical way to spend the weekend in the Fort Payne area. If you come with the right expectations (that this will not be a luxury hotel) you will not be disappointed.
Positives: My room was nicer than some: it had a desk in it.
Negatives: My room had fruit flies everywhere, and their continental breakfast is bad (putrid OJ and no cream cheese for their bagels).

We had a pretty good stay.
Positives: The price was pretty good and it had a nice pool.
Negatives: The beds were too hard.

Facilities were what were to be expected for the economy price. However, I wish more non-smoking rooms were available since the smoking scent was very evident in the room I stayed in.
Positives: Price and location.
Negatives: Had a smoking rather than non-smoking room.

Not much more to say.
Positives: Continental breakfast - Taylor - fridge & micro wave oven.
Negatives: Freeway noise - could have been less costly.

I give an over all rating of 2. Not because it was not clean or anything like. I did it because of the a very rude gentleman that work there. Who I think runs the things there. My little girl went to use the Microwave. When she turn it on sparks began to fly. I turn it off and told the front desk in which a guy came to the room later ask what happen I told him and he then got upset at me because she did what. It is there to be use not start a fire. I do not think anyone should stay there I will not again until changes are made about it.
Positives: It is close to Interstate.
Negatives: They seem not to care about you and will look down on you.
