Positives: The king size beds were comfortable.
Negatives: Hard pillows, very dirty windows, dusty room, out dated furniture, bathroom fixture broken.
Comments: We checked into our room and immediately requested another room because the window overlooked their HVAC units. Spent $25 on upgrading to a king room which was very large. However, the furniture was very outdated, dirty windows, dusty room, tub faucet needed repairing, hard pillows. The front desk employees were accommodating and friendly, hot tubs were good.

Positives: Easy walking distance to main street and local trails. Small but nice swimming pool and several jacuzzis both inside and out.
Negatives: No in room microwaves. Parking garage was somewhat cramped. No washer or dryers. No AC.
Comments: A great location and if you can live without some modern convieniences as noted, this is bargain at the right price. Room was spacious but nothing fancy. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. They have a small arcade which the kids like. Internet access available in business office was nice.

Positives: Location is close to ski lifts.
Negatives: Elevators are small and in difficult locations. Parking is crowded and tight.
Comments: The hotel is reasonably priced and close to ski slopes. The rooms are average. The entire hotel is in need of renovation. The parking is crowded and tight. The elevators are small and in difficult to find locations which makes carrying ski equipment troublesome. Its nice to have a full service restaurant and ski rental inside the hotel, but the restaurant and ski rental are overpriced.

Positives: Very close to the Number 9 lift.
Negatives: Very small bathroom.
Comments: The Great Divide is very close to the slope and downtown. The pool, hot tub and fitness room were good. The elevator to the 8th floor requires an elevator change and a walk in between, which was inconvenient. Be prepared to pay an extra $20 per night for a resort fee.

Positives: The location was ideal.
Negatives: The taxes and resort fees at the end of the stay were a surprise and pretty expensive. The elevator situation was also a bit annoying.
Comments: I enjoyed staying at the Great Divide Lodge and for a 2 star hotel, the room was relatively comfortable. The location is tough to beat if you plan on skiiing/snowboarding. The staff was friendly and the parking was ideal, you can't beat being out of the snow in -19 degree weather. The elevators took a long time and you had to take at least two if your room was located above Floor 6. The resort fee is expensive per day, especially if you can't enjoy it because the weather is so bad. The room service was good and expensive, but that is to be expected. Overall, because of the resort fees and taxes adding up at the end, I wouldn't stay here again unless they were significantly cheaper than the other hotels close by.

Positives: Proximity to town was good.
Negatives: It's been around for awhile, no real atmosphere.
Comments: We could walk to town, our car was secure in a locked park garage, so that was a plus. The hotel lacked atmosphere however, our room was ground level and we looked at weeds. I don't believe for all the hotels in Breckenridge that we would go back.

Positives: The location.
Negatives: The room.
Comments: The hotel is old. I was given a room at the back of an empty hotel that was less than acceptable. The staff was friendly, but distracted and inattentive. The location was very convenient.

Positives: The price was great.
Comments: The rooms were nice and the price was great. The only downside was that it was a little further from town then the other places.
Wed 08 Jul 2009
Positives: The room was large and the service was excellent.
Negatives: There is a $15.00 resort fee that is charged per day.
Comments: We had a nice room with a good view. The hotel offered free shuttle service that would take you to wherever you wanted to go in town and pick you up, and take you back to the hotel.

Negatives: Even in September this small room got very warm.
Comments: Room was small with poor air circulation and no air-conditioning. The window only opened 4 inches which was not enough to get the room aired out. Hotel did provide a fan but the window did open enough to utilize the full effect of the fan.

Negatives: Could use some updating.

Fri 05 Sep 2008

Positives: Great location, nice rooms.
Negatives: Poor housekeeping, poor response to our complaint.
Comments: Other than our concern with housekeeping, the hotel was very nice - great location and views.

Negatives: No air conditioning; uncomfortable bed.
Comments: I was happy to stay at this hotel at the price. It is clean and nice. It has a pool and spa. The room was very spacious. Also, the hotel has underground parking and a restaurant (the food is overpriced as expected). The hotel is a bit worn with slow, small elevators and cramped bathrooms. The bed also was not comfortable and no air conditioning in Summer made the room stuffy.

Positives: Big room, free internet.
Negatives: The elevator system is ridiculous.
Comments: We had a Saturday night stay in Breckenridge at the Great Divide Lodge. The hotel is in a good location, just a short walk to Main Street, and the slopes in the winter. We found the shops in town stayed open a little later on this Saturday (9 pm or so). I was mildly surprised how close the Beaver Run Resort is to this place. It seems these two properties were built on top of one another. Our standard king room was on the 8th floor, south side. This meant it was quite an adventure getting there. For some reason, the design of the hotel forces guests staying on floors 8-10 to take three different elevators to their room from the underground garage. The first elevator takes you from the garage to the lobby, the second from the lobby to the 7th floor, and the third from the 7th floor up to floors 8-10. Once you get off on the 7th floor, one must travel down 3 different hallways to finally reach the last elevator. For a one night stay with a fair amount of luggage, this was a nuisance. The room helped make up for the long journey to get there. We could see the mountain to the far right, but most of our view was the Beaver Run Resort. I believe it when they say the rooms are 500 square feet. I liked the in-room refrigerator, complimentary internet, Starbucks for the morning, and that comfortable king bed. One can really spread out in a room this size, especially during ski season. The place was quiet at night, no problem sleeping. Although the room was clean, the only flaw I noticed was some of the wall paper was peeling under the window. We found it strange that the large window in the room could be only opened about 5 or 6 inches because of a barrier screwed into the window frame. The front desk told me that someone had fallen out a window, so now it's the same precaution in every room. It definitely took a lot longer to cool down the room, thanks to the help of.

Positives: Staff was professional and hotel was clean and well maintained.
Negatives: Did not have the option for 1 king or 2 full sized beds. Would have liked to have the option.
Comments: The hotel staff was very professional and customer service focused. The hotel and the room were well maintained and looked neat and clean. Great location off Park Road walking distance to shops and restaurants. Free underground parking.
Mon 18 Aug 2008
Positives: Big rooms, very accommodating staff, great location, had everything required!
Negatives: Bathroom and kitchenette were cramped, facilities showed age, but it's a ski resort, so that would be expected.
Comments: This hotel had everything required for a family of 5 with small kids. The staff was very accommodating, they stored our bikes securely, and parking was convenient. The workout, pool, hot tub, sauna, internet and game room were a blast for the kids; the location provided full access to all of Breckenridge. I can't say enough great things about the hotel.
Fri 15 Aug 2008
Negatives: Room location, inconvenient location for us, parking tight.
Comments: The staff at the hotel was not friendly, to get to the room you had to go to 2 different elevators and our view was terrible. The room was not bad, but located in a very inconvenient area and it had no view. The parking garage was so small parking and getting in and out was very difficult.
Thu 14 Aug 2008
Negatives: Poor condition in many places.
Comments: Staff were nice, but the overall condition was disappointing.
Thu 07 Aug 2008
Positives: Nice room with good view.
Negatives: Restaurant was overpriced and the food was not very good.
Comments: Nice room with good view. Skip the restaurant.
Tue 05 Aug 2008
Positives: The staff.
Negatives: No a/c and window only opened about 3 inches. Hot.
Comments: Older hotel that needs updating. Room was very hot and stuffy. Staff were polite and helpful.
Mon 04 Aug 2008
Positives: I enjoyed the view from my room.
Negatives: Getting in and checking in were a little tricky. Not enough parking during check in.
Comments: I thought that it was a great hotel for the price. Very comfortable, clean, and the staff was very friendly.
Thu 24 Jul 2008
Positives: Proximity to Breckenridge.
Negatives: No air conditioning. Tiny bathroom, Poor view.
Comments: The hotel is in good proximity to Breckenridge. The rooms do not have air conditioning. They do provide a fan but then you have to open your sliding door to access outside air (security risk). The bathroom is tiny. We had no view. This hotel is not a 3-star hotel. More likely a 2-star or maybe a 2.5 star.
Thu 24 Jul 2008
Positives: The room was beautiful and walking distance to Main Street.
Negatives: You have to walk across the hotel and switch elevators to reach higher floors.
Comments: We really enjoyed the hotel; it was minutes walking to and from Downtown "Breck." The staff was informative and very friendly. The only thing that bothered us was taking the elevator to the sixth, having to walk to the other side of the hotel to either take the stairs two levels up or taking another elevator to the 8th floor. It is a factor that can be ignored as the beauty of the surroundings makes up for it.
Wed 23 Jul 2008
Negatives: No AC and the room was dated.
Comments: Dated and hard to get to rooms. Have to take two separate elevators. Poor service in the dining room. Overall I would rate hotel a 2 star.
