Although in the process of renovation, the Sahara still has the old Las Vegas charm. It is smokey, but quaint and the staff is available and helpful to its guests.

Positives: It was inexpensive and close to the Convention Center.

Negatives: The smell of cigarettes.

The Sahara is a good place to stay. The price is right. Ride the monorail to the rest of the strip. The roller coaster was very good.

Positives: when we go to vegas we usually stay at the sahara. decent accommodations and great price.

Negatives: We are not gamblers. The selection on the cable TV was horrible.

Although the Sahara is an old hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. It is clear that it needs to be remodeled. To start things off, the rooms were hot and that made it hard to sleep in at nights. Another issue is that our television remotes had no batteries and took a long time to find some at the lobby.

Positives: There was a monorail station behind the hotel.

Negatives: No AC, Dirty bed sheets and not enough towels.

Hotel was clean, staff other than front desk lady was nice, housekeeping was great, restaurants and players club, no problems, our friends stayed also and pd for a standard room and they had a view, I paid for deluxe room and had view of rooftop from 3rd floor and parking garage. Our shower dripped all day & night and the hairdryer was broken. Will stay again but might as well pay for a standard room.

Positives: Location/parking was convenient.

Negatives: Paid for deluxe room-had no view, hairdryer broken, shower dripped all day & night.

The last time I stayed at the Sahara was in the mid 80's. I had good memories and high expectations. It literally hasn't changed at all. The room was heavily worn. The furniture was damaged and severely outdated. The shower has really bad. However, the staff was friendly and the waiter at the Caravan had a good sense of humor. Made up for a lot of the bad things.

Positives: The bed was comfortable and the waiter was funny.

Negatives: 700 year old worn out furniture and carpet, pretty shabby. Horrible shower.

This was my worst experience at a hotel. The room flooded and when we call the front desk to come fix it, they came and turned out water off. We didn't have water for the rest of the night. We had to wash our hands and brush our teeth using the bath tub water.

Positives: The swimming pool.

Negatives: Brushing my teeth out of the bath tub.

The hotel room was very unkept, gouges in the wall, stains on the ceiling. The parking garage elevator was filled with gang graffitti and was extremely shaky.

Positives: Price

Negatives: Room and elevators were in disrepair. Graffitti in the parking garage and elevators. Homeless begars outside of the hotel.

Inexpensive way for my family to take a couple days away. Since we were out most of the time and used the place just to rest or sleep, it was perfect! While the beds are not the most comfortable, we all slept fine.

Positives: Child friendly, quiet, and nice pool.

Negatives: Sheets/beds are not comfortable.

You get what you pay for. Very disappointed that pool was closed and no longer has a buffet. Nascar café was poor.

Positives: Very handy for monorail for connecting to other casinos etc.

Negatives: Pool was closed all week, a once great buffet has closed down

Overall the price is great but housekeeping is horrible and the lady that answered the phone for housekeeping was rude and made excuses on why we never got our towels. The elevator was filthy looks like someone rolled in dirt and rubbed it all over the elevator.

Positives: The price is really great, and check out is at 12:00.

Negatives: When we woke up in the morning we called house keeping for towels so we could get ready to check out one hour went by no towels called again.poor service.

After attending our eldest son's wedding in Los Angeles I booked the hotel on priceline for my husbands birthday and we were very pleased with our stay, the location is a bit far, we took the double decker to the main strip and then enjoyed the walk back to the hotel (we hadn't realized that we had walked that far back)

Positives: When my husband and I arrived at the hotel we were both suprised at what we got it was great we loved it and we will go back.

Negatives: Other than the $6 service charge and the hotel being at the end of the strip everything else was great for us.

The hotel seems like it has never been remodeled since the day it opened. All of the furniture was old and broken and never replaced since the day it opened. The shelf had cigarette burns on it, the carpet was stained, the hallways to the rooms smelled. The workers at the casino were rude and not friendly. The buffet quality was not good for the price. It costs $15.00 for breakfast and no one comes to serve you drinks. You have to get it all on your own. The food was horrible! It was all dried out from sitting all day and seemed like they only heated up pre-made food and didn't make any of it from scratch. The pool looked nice, but wasn't heated and closed early. The location of the hotel is not convenient since it is at the end of the strip. It is close to the monorail, but the monorail costs $5 each trip. You could drive your own car and valet at each casino for free and only pay the guy $1 which is a lot cheaper then having to pay $5 to get to the other end of the strip and then another $5 to get back. Don't waste your money. Go somewhere else! They need to tear down the place and start new if they ever want me to go back there again. It would have been just as cheap and nicer to stay at a Best Western just off the strip instead of here. That's pretty bad.

Positives: Nothing positive all negative.

Negatives: The dirtyest place to stay!

This hotel will no longer be one I select. They also wanted $ 12.99 for internet service per day! The facility is showing its age. Carpets were torn, hallway walls showed rub marks. The shower unit had loose chrome pieces.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: They added $ 6 per day for a resort use fee. They wanted $12.95 for internet.

I travel quite a bit and this hotel really made me feel icky, it wasn't clean and appliances were broken, rusting. Sheets and carpet and walls were stained. Will not stay here again.

Positives: The elevators were fast.

Negatives: Rust, holes, chipped paint, stains, constant fliers under the door.

What a dump. The rooms were old and tired, the staff was pushy about trying to set up appointments for time shares (and had to be told quite forcefully that we were not interested since they didn't appear to understand what "no thank you" meant), the food was expensive and not very good. So just avoid this place.

Positives: Checking out.

Negatives: Everything prior to checking out.

It was really convenient having the monorail right there so that you could ride it all the way to the MGM.

Positives: It has a monorail entrance.

Negatives: It's old!
