WINTER STEALHEAD CAN BRIGHTEN UP THE WINTER BLUES. YOU COULD HARVEST CRABS, CLAMS, OYSTERS OR SHRIMP. MAYBE YOU JUST WANT TO EAT FRESH SEAFOOD. TRY ONE OR ALL OF OUR LOCAL RESTAURANTS. TRY SOME OR ALL OF THE LOCAL SMOKED SALMON. WHALE WATCHING AND OTHER SEA LIFE LIKE PUFFINS, EAGLES, SEALS, AND DOLPHINS. DEER, GROUSE, BEAR, AND ELK HUNTING BRING OUT A FEW HUNTERS MID OCTOBER TO SOMETIME IN NOVEMBER. WATERFALLS, CLIFFS, SEA STACKS, WATER AND MOUNTAIN VIEWS. BRING YOUR SURFBOARD AND CATCH A WAVE. STORM WATCHERS WILL ENJOY NOVEMBER, DECEMBER AND JANUARY. DO YOU LIKE BEACH COMBING FOR SHELLS, OCEAN GLASS, GLASS FLOATS, AGATES, AND DRIFTWOOD?. THE TIDE POOLS AT LOW TIDE IS A GREAT PLACE TO TAKE THE KIDS OR JUST TO BE ALONE WITH NATURE. MUSHROOM AND BERRY PICKING. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE PICKING. TRAILS TO BIKE OR HIKE. BE RESPONSIBLE AND PACK OUT WHAT YOU PACKED IN. NEAR BY HOT SPRINGS TO SOAK YOUR BONES. WATCH THE EAGLES SOAR OR DIVE TO SCOOP UP A FISH JUST TO SHOW YOU THEY CAN. DON'T LIKE ANY OF THOSE? TAKE A WALK ON A SANDY BEACH AND FLY A KITE.
